Loving the 239 | Part 1 | October 18, 2015

A deep sense of awe came over them all, and the apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders. And all the believers met together in one place and shared everything they had. They sold their property and possessions and shared the money with those in need. They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity— all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved. Acts 2:43-47 (NLT) How can I love the people in the 239? 1. ___________ the people in the 239 as Jesus _____________ them. But as (Jesus) came closer to Jerusalem and saw the city ahead… Luke 19:41a (NLT)

They will crush you into the ground, and your children with you. Your enemies will not leave a single stone in place, because you did not recognize it when God visited you.” Luke 19:42-44 (NLT)

GRACE NEWS TRUNK OR TREAT – October 31 from 6 - 8 PM! Decorate a trunk and join us as we reach out to the children in our community! We’ll give them a safe place to have some fun and opportunity to connect with Jesus! We still need lots of candy, volunteers and trunks!! Sign-up sheets are in the Welcome Center. FAITH COMMUNITY NURSE – Join me today, October 18, at 11:15 in the Chapel for a short meeting to form a health and wellness team. This is open to all who have an interest in serving others by promoting health and wellness. SOBRIETY ROCKS! – Join us on Saturday nights for an open speaker meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous! We meet in the Fellowship Hall at 6:45 for coffee and a speaker at 7. All are welcome! If you need info and encouragement about living free from alcohol, please join us. OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD – Your opportunity to reach around the world and change a life forever is here. Pick-up a red and green box in the Welcome Center, take it home, fill it up and return it to the office the week of November 15, between 10 – noon. Volunteers needed to receive OCC Boxes Collection Week Nov. 16-23 10-Noon. Sign-up sheet in Welcome Center.
