Greetings from your Chamber Chair - Dawn Schulberg - Premiere Dance Academy Fall has officially arrived and we’ve had storms, lots of windy days and more rain than expected! Hopefully the upcoming months will bring us some beautiful color and warm days before winter arrives. Our annual Community Fest was once again a great success with 3,300 visitors attending and over 200 vendors that participated. It is a great event that highlights what your business offers and gives you the opportunity to interact with the public about who you are and what you can provide to them. A face to face interaction is a great way to promote your services. The monthly September membership meeting was held at the MN Horse and Hunt club with many of our businesses having a quick lunch to dodge the potential rain so that they could participate in the Skeet and Shoot contest. I’m happy to say that the rain held off for them! It will be exciting to announce the winner at the October luncheon! We had many new members join us at the meeting along with new representatives and visitors. I handed out many new member plaques at which time they had the opportunity to introduce their businesses to us. Congratulations on becoming a Chamber Member. As a Chamber, we will continue to support you in your future endeavors. Thank you to the

MN Horse and Hunt club for hosting this event. It is a beautiful facility. Our Candidates for City Council and School Board was held this on September 27th and 28th respectively. If you weren’t able to attend, I URGE you to watch it on our cable station or online. It will air several times throughout the month. This is your opportunity to get to know the candidates and hear their platforms. The most important thing to do is VOTE and VOTE with confidence and fact. Once again our Chamber will be producing a map for our current residents, new residents and visitors. This map is free to everyone and we produce approximately 10,000 to distribute. The times are changing and although most everyone has an app on their phone to find information and locations etc. We still have thousands of people who want to have something in their hands to look at and understand the layout of our town and find the right business, neighborhood, etc. After they are printed, you are welcome to have some available to hand out to your customers. All Chamber members are listed on the map free! If you wish to place an ad in the map to highlight your business, please contact the Chamber Office as soon as possible. A few events coming up - Ladies Night Out “It’s Reigning Purple” is being held on October 13th. Registration is filling up quickly. Don’t be left out of this event whether

you are featuring your business or participating in the event. Register now!! Also our October Luncheon will be held on October 12th at Brackett’s Crossing. This is a very popular Progressive Luncheon that everyone enjoys. Sign up soon so you don’t miss out on the fun! Bring business cards and brochures to hand out. Please check the chamber website to note the MANY events that are listed that you could attend or sponsor. We have several Chamber Board members whose term is now ending. It has been a wonderful experience partnering with these fantastic people! Sadly they will be leaving us at the end of this year. That means we need new representatives that want to become a part of this great group. You CAN make a difference!!!! And in closing, pleased remember that you get from the Chamber what you give. Participating, volunteering, being a board member, being an active chamber member helps you become recognized and respected.

Respectfully

Dawn Schulberg, Chair Premiere Dance Academy 952.447.5788
