KFC resumes Sunday, August 12, and is an important time of teaching God’s word that coordinates with Sunday and Wednesday classes. Children in the threes class through second grade will remain in class at 10:15. KFC volunteers will escort them to and from the KFC room. Parents will pick up children from their class rooms, not the KFC room, following assembly worship. Teacher Meeting - Wednesday, August 8, 5:30, Reception Room. BIG, BIG SUNDAY News______________________________________________ Small Group Leader Luncheon There will be a Small Group Leader Luncheon in the Reception Room today from 12:00 to 2:00. 2nd Sunday Fellowship Sunday, August 12, will be our 2nd Sunday Fellowship beginning at noon in the Family Center. Please bring potluck, enough for your family and guests. Adult Class Preview A preview of Adult Spiritual Growth classes that will be offered this fall will be previewed on Sunday, August 12, in the Family Center. Pictorial Update The first round of photographing for the new pictorial directory is behind us! Thanks to all the families who participated. If you have not signed up yet, there are still times available during our final week of photographing, Monday, August 27 through Friday, August 31. Sign-up sheets are available this morning on the table in the Auditorium foyer. You can also register online on Mondays - Saturdays at www.meadowbrook.org. Please call the church office if you have any questions. Remember, our Directory won’t be complete unless you are in it! Stewpot Food Drive - Christmas in July Please bring non-perishable food items to help replenish Stewpot’s food pantry by Sunday, August 19. Make plans to be here next Sunday, August 12, as we share what’s on the horizon this fall at Meadowbrook! To whet your spiritual appetite, we will start off in the Family Center with a preview of adult classes that will be offered beginning Sunday, August 19. Our new yearly theme will be revealed during worship assembly and, afterwards, we will share a potluck lunch to kick off our fall Small Group season. There are several more revelations for this special BIG Sunday that you won’t want to miss!

Sharing Congratulations Amanda Parsons continued her journey in the ways of Jesus by being baptized Tuesday, July 31. We celebrate her faith and pray for her as she prepares to begin law school at Yale this fall. Come Check Us Out! The new library is open for business. A huge thank-you to the more than 30 volunteers who helped box up, move, and unbox books and DVDs; who built and painted shelves; who tiled the cabinet and assembled the desk. We are in FC-7 in the Family Center - please come check us out! We have a wide selection of books and DVDs for adults and children, and we would love to show you our spacious new facility.
