SERMON NOTES  Sunday, April 1, 2012 “ONE WEEK” (Mark 8:31) Today, in preparation for the Lord’s Supper, we will walk through the last week of Jesus’s life. How did He spend His time. What did He do? What was important? What lessons can we learn from one week in the life of the Savior? Day 1: Sunday “Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, even the King of Israel” (John 12:13, NASB). Day 2: Monday “My house will be called a house of prayer” (Matthew 21:13, NIV). Day 3: Tuesday “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. Love your neighbor as yourself” (Mark 12:30-31, NIV). Day 4: Wednesday “Jesus did many others things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written” (John 21:25, NIV). Day 5: Thursday “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me. This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you” (Luke 22:19-20, NIV). Day 6: Friday

“Christ suffered for our sins once for all time. He never sinned, but he died for sinners to bring you safely home to God” (1 Peter 3:18, NLT). Day 7: Saturday “The ‘right time’ is now. Today is the day of salvation” (2 Corinthians 6:2, NLT).

When all the Israelites saw the fire coming down and the glory of the Lord above the temple, they knelt on the pavement with their faces to the ground, and they worshiped and gave thanks to the Lord, saying ‘He is good; his love endures forever’” (2 Chronicles 7:2-3, NIV). “My house will be called a house of prayer” (Matthew 21:13, NIV).
