Online Trading Manager Location: Fouberts Place, London The Role This role is focused on maximising online sales at Hamleys.com and partner websites. The Online Trading Manager works closely with the digital marketer to deliver the annually budgeted EBITDA for the web channel and reports into the Head of Marketing & Online.

Key responsibilities: 

To be responsible for day to day trading of Hamleys.com and partner sites, Analysing online and product sales data and working closely with the buying and planning department to deliver seasonal campaigns whilst proactively reacting to trading conditions to deliver targeted EBITDA, To manage and deliver web SHOP content including images, copy and attribute information ensuring accuracy and brand guidelines are followed with specific ownership for the content upload sheet, Report weekly on trading and site performance at trading meetings and monthly at P&L meetings taking ownership for specific costs, Be seen as the expert for all digital trading channels demonstrating detailed knowledge of product market and competitor tactics, with a focus throughout on customer, Manage / work closely with the digital marketer to plan online campaigns, manage and manipulate product copy incorporating target keywords for SEO and provide briefs for internal and external resource when required, Provide briefs, attend photo shoots and manage deadlines with internal resource and external agencies to ensure content is produced and on brand, Support Hamleys global franchise teams drive online sales by being an ambassador for Hamleys.com and supporting them to deliver trading sites that are consistent with the Hamleys brand, Work closely with internal IT resource and our external web development agency to ensure a stable ecommerce platform raising performance issues in a timely manner. Review all staff salaries and make recommendations for pay rises in consultation with dept heads. Implement any increases and promotions.

Role Requirements:      

Detailed understanding of the end-to-end principals of e-commerce and omni-channel trading, Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience, in a retail environment, Strong functional understanding of web and mobile ecommerce applications and retail systems, Excellent English language and grammar skills, Desirable Degree, Project Management experience.
