The historic Grand View Lodge on Gull Lake has been providing guests with memorable vacations since 1916. In order to provide exceptional room and table linens, Grand View recently installed the very latest finishing and folding equipment from Chicago Dryer and Minnesota Chemical. The newly installed equipment includes a Chicago Tri Star ironer/folder paired with a Chicago Ultra Compact spreader/feeder and an Air Chicago small piece folder. This new equipment efficiently produces beautifully ironed and folded linens and perfectly folded and stacked towels. Director of Housekeeping, Amanda Okersan says that when they have a capacity crowd of 1000 guests, the new Chicago finishing and folding equipment operates with speed and efficiency allowing them to get their work done on time.

New Decade, New Look

DLI Marks 110 Years of Drycleaning Advocacy with Refreshed Identity DLI’s Drycleaning Foundation is now 110 years old. To commemorate this milestone, the Institute decided to create a new logo. The logo shows what DLI does. Along with this rebranding effort, members will receive new window cling membership decals. The purpose of the redesign is to exemplify what DLI does at a glance. These seminars address Milnor washer-extractors ranging in capacity from 20 pounds to 700 pounds, including divided-cylinders and open-pocket designs with microprocessor controls.

Who Should Attend?

Any field service, maintenance, plant engineer, operations or management personnel who deal with maintaining, repairing, and operating Milnor washerextractors in the course of their daily functions, and want to improve their understanding of the equipment. The course devotes a great deal of time to troubleshooting of electrical controls. Mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems are covered as well.

Along with updated offices, the facility boasts a “LIVE” on-site showroom with steam and fully array of functioning pressing equipment. Interested customers can come with dealers to the showroom to test run their equipment of choice. Sankosha USA President Keisuke ( Ken ) Uchikoshi told those gathered that the company is celebrating its 40th year of overall operation and 24 years of US operation. Minnesota Chemical was the first US dealer to take on the Sankosha line. Sankosha stocks equipment in Elk Grove Viullage allowing for prompt delivery to customer’s plants.
