PATRON COURTESIES Your courteous cooperation with marshals and other officials is greatly appreciated. Here are guidelines to help ensure the best experience possible for players and patrons alike. PLEASE: • Walk at all times—never run; • Be quiet and still as golfers play their shots; • Don’t leave green areas until all players in a group have putted out; • Do not approach or talk to players on the golf course, no matter how well you may know them; • Cross fairways only at designated areas and stay behind the ropes at all other times; • Place all refuse in the receptacles provided; • Be as considerate of your fellow spectators as you would like them to be of you; • Heckling, signs and clothing with messaging deemed disruptive to play are not permitted and will result in patron removal and relinquishment of Tournament credentials.

In 2017-18, the four Playoffs events will offer $36 million in prize money, meaning a total of more than $70 million is on the line over the four weeks of FedExCup Playoff competition. Over the span of 44 weeks of competition, players vie to become the FedExCup champion, which distinguishes the one player who not only performs well during the PGA TOUR season, but also excels through the pressure of the FedExCup Playoffs. Tiger Woods won the inaugural FedExCup in 2007 and its $10-million top prize and won again in 2009. Others to hoist the FedExCup trophy include Vijay Singh (2008), Jim Furyk (2010), Bill Haas (2011), Brandt Snedeker (2012), Henrik Stenson (2013), Billy Horschel (2014), Jordan Spieth (2015), Rory McIlroy (2016) and Justin Thomas (2017). During the PGA TOUR season, TOUR members earn points based on their finish, with a strong emphasis placed on winning and high finishes. Once the PGA TOUR season concludes, the top-125 players advance to the Playoffs, a series of four $9-million tournaments offering quadruple points relative to PGA TOUR season events. The Playoffs feature a progressive cut, beginning with THE NORTHERN TRUST in New Jersey (125 players), continuing with the Dell Technologies Championship outside Boston (100 players) and the BMW Championship outside Philadelphia (70 players). A reset takes place, seeding the top-30 players for the culminating TOUR Championship in Atlanta, where the FedExCup champion is crowned.
