Meet the Leader After his third-round 4-under-par 68, Daniel Summerhays of Farmington, Utah, holds the 54-hole lead in a PGA TOUR event for the fourth time in his career. He is looking to make the Memorial Tournament presented by Nationwide his first TOUR title. at 13-under 203, he leads Matt Kuchar, the 2013 Memorial Tournament winner, by three strokes and seeks to improve on his previous best Memorial finish, a tie for fourth place in 2012. The last time Summerhays led after 54 holes, at the 2013 Sanderson Farms Championship, he ended up tied for 2nd place. Summerhays, 33, is competing in his 185th career PGA TOUR event. Should he prevail, he’ll be the eighth first-time TOUR winner in Memorial Tournament history and the fourth in a row after William McGirt, David Lingmerth and Hideki Matsuyama. In 18 starts this season, Summerhays has only one top-25 finish, a tie for 16th at the Waste Management Phoenix Open. He ranks 157th in the FedExCup Standings and 97th in the Official World Golf Ranking. Summerhays has good vibes in Columbus; he won the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Invitational in 2007 on the Web.com Tour. He comes from a golfing family. His older brother Boyd is a past member of the PGA TOUR and Web.com Tour who now serves as his golf instructor. His uncle, Bruce Summerhays, played on the PGA TOUR Champions. And his cousin, Carrie Roberts, is a former LPGA player.

CELL PHONE POLICY Mobile devices are permitted, yet please recognize that their use is restricted. The Memorial Tournament has instituted a “zero-tolerance” policy for any breach of the restrictions below. Confiscated phones can be retrieved at the completion of play at Lost and Found, located in the Patron Information Center. Following are the PGA TOUR’s policy guidelines:

• During practice and pro-am rounds, photography is permitted. • During official competition rounds, photography is prohibited within any areas of competition (i.e. teeing grounds, tee shot landing areas and on/ around putting greens) or when requested by Tournament staff, security, players, or player representatives. • Photography in non-competition areas is permitted. • Data use (texting, email, etc.) is permitted outside of the designated “Cell Phone Zones” all week, but away from play. • Data use is not permitted when players are in position to compete (i.e., when QUIET PLEASE paddles are raised).

PATRON COURTESIES Your courteous cooperation with the marshals and other officials is greatly appreciated. Here are some guidelines on how to ensure the best experience for yourself and your fellow patrons. PLEASE: • Walk at all times – never run. • Be quiet and still as golfers play their shots. • Don’t leave green areas until all players in a group have putted out. • Do not approach or talk to players on the golf course, no matter how well you may know them. • Cross fairways only at designated areas and stay behind the ropes at all other times. • Place all refuse and recycling in the receptacles provided. • Be as considerate of your fellow patrons as you would like them to be of you. • Heckling, signs and clothing with messaging deemed disruptive to play are not permitted and will result in patron removal and relinquishment of Tournament credentials.

In 2016-17, the four Playoffs events will offer $35 million in prize money, meaning a total of $70 million is on the line over the four weeks of FedExCup Playoff competition. Over the span of 43 weeks of competition, players vie to become the FedExCup champion, which distinguishes the one player who not only performs well during the PGA TOUR season, but also excels through the pressure of the FedExCup Playoffs. Tiger Woods won the inaugural FedExCup in 2007 and its $10-million top prize and won again in 2009. Others to hoist the FedExCup trophy include Vijay Singh (2008), Jim Furyk (2010), Bill Haas (2011), Brandt Snedeker (2012), Henrik Stenson (2013), Billy Horschel (2014), Jordan Spieth (2015) and Rory McIlroy (2016). During the PGA TOUR season, TOUR members earn points based on their finish, with a strong emphasis placed on winning and high finishes. Once the PGA TOUR season concludes, the top-125 players advance to the Playoffs, a series of four $8.75-million tournaments offering quadruple points relative to PGA TOUR season events. The Playoffs feature a progressive cut, beginning with THE NORTHERN TRUST outside New York City (125 players), continuing with the Dell Technologies Championship outside Boston (100 players) and the BMW Championship outside Chicago (70 players). A reset takes place, seeding the top-30 players for the culminating TOUR Championship in Atlanta, where the FedExCup champion is crowned.

PATRON INFORMATON CENTER — As an added convenience to patrons, a Patron Information Center is located at the west end of the practice area. The volunteers staffing the center will be able to answer your questions concerning the Tournament and the golf course. Patrons will be able to leave messages and receive EMERGENCY messages. The phone number for the Message Center is 614-889-6719 or 614-889-6720. In addition, please note that the Patron Information Center is the location for Lost and Found.
