2018 HS Camp Theme Nights Monday: Neon Night
Description: Simply put, your student needs to wear neon clothing and props for this high energy, first night blowout! If it correlates with their team’s color, that might earn them some extra points, just something to think about.
Tuesday: Staff Night
Description: students will dress up like one of our church staff members, or even one of our life group teachers. The more detail with the costume, the better!
Wednesday: All American Nerd Night
Description: this will combine both the red, white and blue and nerd gear! You can go heavy on the nerd or on the Merica, but make sure to include both!
Thursday: The Greatest Showman Night
Description: this will be more carnival themed, going along with the movie itself, The Greatest Showman. Students can dress up more specifically as characters in the movie, or more generically in carnival themed outfits. Please make sure outfits are appropriate!!
A Couple of quick things on dress code… -
Swimsuits o Girls: Only one piece swimsuits are allowed. NO bikinis, tankinis, monokinis. When/if in doubt, wear a dark colored t-shirt over your swimsuit o Guys: No speedos or jammers. No spaghetti strap tank tops. Shirts need to cover both shoulders. Shorts/skirts should hit mid thigh. You may be asked to change if your clothes are inappropriate. Please do not bring clothes inconsistent with who we are and what we believe (no drugs, alcohol or sexual references) Shorts and t-shirts are appropriate each day. Theme night dress/costumes still need to follow dress code! Remember, if it’s questionable, leave it at home!
2018 HS Camp Packing List What to Bring Bible (physical copy, not electronic) Notebook/Pen Linens (pillow, sheets for twin bed, sleeping bag, etc) Toiletry items SUNSCREEN! SUNSCREEN! SUNSCREEN! Hat of some sort Sunglasses Towels (for beach and for shower) Appropriate bathing suit (see dress code on previous page) Refillable water bottle with student’s name on it Athletic wear for morning/afternoon Casual wear for evening Clothes/props for theme nights Spending money for lunch on both trips (possibly some merch) Snacks for the trip and your room What NOT to Bring Fireworks Tobacco/drugs/alcohol (including vapes) Stuff for pranks Weapons of any kind
