Attention all 8th grade parents, Believe it or not, in only a few months your son or daughter will be crossing the bridge from middle school to high school. As you know this is a very critical time in the life of a teenager and his/her parents. One of the goals of our youth ministry is to come alongside you as a parent. We want to assist and encourage the great job you are doing through the time we spend with your son or daughter. One of the areas we have been able to assist and encourage parents with has been in helping your son or daughter cross the bridge into high school with positive results. For a lot of teenagers this transition can be a very negative experience in their life. We believe it can be a very positive one! For this reason we have strategically designed a six day retreat for incoming freshman called High Impact. The following is some important information to know about High Impact: •
High Impact will be June 10-16, 2018.

Our first couple days will be spent doing volunteer/missions work with some of our ministry partners in the Denver, Colorado area. During the second half of our trip we will spend our time at a Christian outfitter called Noah’s Ark. At Noah’s Ark we will go white water rafting, swimming in hot springs, conquer a high ropes adventure park, and camping in the Rocky Mountains of Buena Vista, Colorado. This will be a great time of fun, challenge, and bonding for the youth and adults joining us. Also, all the activities are led by trained professionals that have many years of experience leading groups like ours. We participate in intensive team building activities to help unite the group. Relationships are the cornerstone of our youth ministry. It’s amazing to see what God does in someone’s life when they feel like they are known within the group. We participate in intensive Bible studies that focus on making Jesus Lord of every part of life. The cost of High Impact is $495. Cost includes airfare, checked bag, ground transportation, meals at Noah’s Ark, white water rafting, adventure park, lodging in Colorado, and supplies for service projects. Additional meal money and spending money not included.

As you can see, we have a full week planned for your son or daughter! In the previous years we have participated in High Impact, we saw great growth in the lives of the students that participated. Not only did High Impact help kids transition from middle school to high school, but it also helped students to deepen their walk with Christ.
