The Girls on the Run 5k Celebration is the culminating achievement for hundreds of girls participating in the 10-‐week Girls on the Run program in New Orleans. We are looking for businesses and organizations to help us deliver our life-‐ changing program to approximatly 500 girls this Spring season. 5k sponsors help offset the costs of our 5k at the end of each season. 5k sponsorship gives our partners a variety of exposure opportunites to participants and community members by including your name or logo on event tshirts, signs and banners and social media. $10,000 fully supports 3 scholarship sites $5,000 provides healthy snacks for every girl twice a week for one year $3,000 provides every GOTR participant to have an adult Running Buddy supporting her for every step of the 5k $1,000 provides a team of 20 girls with 5k registrations, 5k giveaways and a 5k medal $500 provides proper athletic gear for all girls who need it $250 pays for one amazing girl’s participation in the program and ensures all 5k participants enjoy post-‐race bananas
runs for 10 weeks during the fall and spring seasons, each team meeting twice a week. We use running to help girls develop the healthy habits and self-‐confidence to last a lifetime.
Our Results Program evaluation has revealed that GOTR participants show significant improvements in: • Body size satisfaction • Enjoyment of physical activity • Commitment to physical activity • Eating attitudes and behaviors • Self-‐esteem
