It is one of the largest non-university based physician training centers in the nation with over 375 medical residents, over 600 medical student months, over 400 allied health students and 400 nursing students in 2007.
• The Ochsner Health System includes a network of seven hospitals and over 35 health centers located throughout Southeast Louisiana. • Ochsner Medical Center is located near uptown New Orleans and includes acute and sub-acute care facilities and The Ochsner Cancer Institute, Multi-Organ Transplant Institute and Heart and Vascular Institute. • Ochsner Medical Center for Children, the in-patient facility, and Ochsner Children’s Health Center, the ambulatory care-center, both offer comprehensive care for our youngest patients. • The 142-room Brent House Hotel is located on the main campus for patients and families.
