CHILDREN - infant-6th grade EARLY CHILDHOOD MINISTRIES welcomes infants through pre-K during both worship services, located in the wing to the right of the Welcome Center. ALL STUDENTS (k-12) Are invited to join their parents in the service during Advent (Nov 27-Jan 1) COLLEGE - Meet in the Foundation Room after the 11 am service for a light lunch to connect with other college students and get to know the church. Deacon Offering Reminder: Deacon envelopes are available or you can simply designate “Deacons” for a portion of your check or through online giving. COLLIDE with us for our last COLLIDE of 2016 on Wednesday, December 07 at 6pm. We’ll have pizza and power salad followed by a special dessert. The cost is $5 per person, $10 per family. Prayer meeting changes for December. No prayer meeting on Dec 24, 28 or 31. Holiday Services Christmas Eve - 4 & 6pm (childcare at the 4pm service only). Christmas Day & New Year’s Day - One service at 10am (no childcare these mornings). Worship Bags are available for children K-6th to assist your children in the corporate worship time. One bag/family and please be sure to return all used bags to the bin beside the check-in cart. Advent Giving Projects. This Advent, our local project will be to help JUST of DuPage provide a Bible to every inmate at the DuPage County Jail. Our international project will be to help see the Africa Study Bible distributed throughout Africa. Mark “Advent” on the memo of your check or online giving and the money will go to each of these projects. Winter OIL is a conference at Wheaton College on Jan 4–7 targeting college students but open to all. This year’s theme is “I Have Overcome the World.” More information and registration at winteroil.org. Christmas Sharing is an opportunity to bless families in Warrenville by providing new or gently used clothes and toys at Christmas. Donations will be collected at either campus until Dec 4. PRAY WITH US
• Pray for those who have suffered loss this past week from the fires that swept through towns in Tennessee. • Lift up Steve LoBue who will have knee replacement surgery on December 5. Pray the surgery will be successful and that his recovery will go well. • Pray for comfort for Marcia Snyder in the loss of her mother, Norma Miller, who passed away on November 27 in Tennessee. • Please pray for Sue Roman as she leads a team of 16 women to the D.R. this week. • Ask God to bless Reggie Ramos as he leads us in worship, encourages the worship teams, and develops our communication processes.
INTERNATIONAL WORKER FOCUS • Pray for Dr. Samuel Naaman, ministering to Muslims and Hindus in the US. Pray for his upcoming trip to Israel Dec.31-Jan 11, for outreach events to the Hindus during Christmas, and give praise for several Syrian Refugees who were recently baptized.
