We are one church with two locations in Wheaton and Warrenville, forming a people through Christ to glorify Him everywhere. CHILDREN - infant-6th grade EARLY CHILDHOOD MINISTRIES welcomes infants through pre-K during both worship services, located in the wing to the right of the Welcome Center. ALL STUDENTS (k-12) are invited to join their parents in the service during Advent (Nov 27-Jan 1) COLLEGE - Meet in the Foundation Room after the 11 am service for a light lunch to connect with other college students and get to know the church. Becoming Telescopes: Magnifying God with James Lee in Wheaton at 11am (for high school students). Cultural Backgrounds and Scripture with John Walton in Wheaton at 11am. Philippians with Malcolm Broadhurst in Wheaton at 11am. Holiday office hours - the office will be closed between Christmas and New Year’s Day. We will reopen on Tuesday, January 3. Holiday Services Christmas Eve - 4 & 6pm (childcare at the 4pm service only). Christmas Day & New Year’s Day - One service at 10am (no childcare these mornings). Worship Bags available to enhance the worship experience for families with young children. One per family please, however, if you have 4 or more children please take two! Kindly return the worship bags to the cart at the end of the service. Advent Giving Projects. This Advent, our local project will be to help JUST of DuPage provide a Bible to every inmate at the DuPage County Jail. Our international project will be to help see the Africa Study Bible distributed throughout Africa. Mark “Advent” on the memo of your check or online giving and the money will go to each of these projects. Winter OIL is a conference at Wheaton College on Jan 4–7 targeting college students but open to all. This year’s theme is “I Have Overcome the World.” More information and registration at winteroil.org.
PRAY WITH US
• Pray for God’s continued healing for Michele Phoenix as she recovers from surgery. • Ask for God’s comfort for those who have heavy hearts as they feel the loss of loved ones more keenly during the Christmas holidays. • Pray that our youth ministry might raise students with spiritual conviction and excellence in all areas under James Lee’s leadership with volunteers and parents.
INTERNATIONAL WORKER FOCUS • Lift up Kathleen P, serving in Asia. Ask God for fertile hearts as she shares the Christmas message with students and encourages local believers in their faith. Pray for faith and grace to weather another transition in 2017.
