We are one church with two locations in Wheaton and Warrenville, forming a people through Christ to glorify Him everywhere. CHILDREN - infant-6th grade EARLY CHILDHOOD MINISTRIES welcomes infants through pre-K during both worship services, located in the wing to the right of the Welcome Center. ALL STUDENTS (k-12) are invited to join their parents in the service during Advent (Nov 27-Jan 1) COLLEGE - Meet in the Foundation Room after the 11 am service for a light lunch to connect with other college students and get to know the church. Messages that do not require immediate attention will be responded to on or after January 3. New Year’s Service will be at 10am next Sunday. We will not meet for prayer meeting Dec 28 or 31. Worship Bags available to enhance the worship experience for families with young children. Kindly return the worship bags to the cart at the end of the service. EQUIP 2017 - We have new Sunday morning classes starting on Jan 8! Drawing Nearer with Scottie May in Warrenville at 9am. God’s Word Through African Eyes with Laura Livingston in Wheaton at 9am. Becoming Telescopes: Magnifying God with James Lee in Wheaton at 11am (for high school students). Cultural Backgrounds and Scripture with John Walton in Wheaton at 11am. Philippians with Malcolm Broadhurst in Wheaton at 11am. Advent Giving Projects. This Advent, our local project will be to help JUST of DuPage provide a Bible to every inmate at the DuPage County Jail. Our international project will be to help see the Africa Study Bible distributed throughout Africa. Mark “Advent” on the memo of your check or online giving and the money will go to each of these projects. Winter OIL is a conference at Wheaton College on Jan 4–7 targeting college students but open to all. This year’s theme is “I Have Overcome the World.” More information and registration at winteroil.org. EVERYBODY’S BIRTHDAY! Join us Sunday, January 8 in The Living Water Room after the second service for a Korean traditional New Year’s meal, Ddukgook. We will celebrate all birthdays and make new friends. • Pray for Linda Oury as she recovers from surgery on Tuesday and for Gina LaRusso who underwent shoulder surgery on Thursday. Ask for God’s healing touch for both. • Ask for God’s comfort for Tae Lee, whose 72 year old father Kwaeng Il Lee passed away on Friday, December 16. • Praise God for the birth of Leah Hope Weinberger born to Joel & Dana Weinberger on Friday, December 16. • Pray for our Warrenville congregation and ask for God’s outpouring through them to reach that community for His Kingdom.
INTERNATIONAL WORKER FOCUS • Lift up Rachelle Streeter, serving in Belgium, that her ministry through music would be fruitful, that God would open doors for future endeavors in the months to come and that He would continue to work through the contacts that have already been made.
