scored the final goal to seal the game 7-0 with about six minutes remaining. Lytton finished the game with two goals while Schuler and Schnieders contributed one apiece. Fischer liked a lot of what he saw from

his girls Thursday evening, but the coach did see some things his girls can sharpen at this early juncture of the season, particularly in controlling possession of the ball. “We have to win the ball out of the air,” he said. “And win the sec-

ond 50-50 ball and anticipate where it might go. That just comes with playing more.” Robling and the Jeeps were obviously disappointed in the outcome, but the coach believes that a game like this can be used to teach the

team its limitations and inform them of how to get better for their next time out on the field. “I think we learned some things on what our team can do,” he said. “We were able to see that tonight so that’s something we can work on.”

growth in soccer communication — not just talking to your buddy when you’re mad at him or happy with him, but telling them where we are in the field and if we’re switching or not and calling out numbers. That’s one thing we as a coaching staff need to see more of.” While this year’s matchup

was a lot better than the 11-1 defeat they took at the hands of the Patriots last season, Wallace is still disappointed with the outcome since the Raiders have high expectations this season with a group full of upperclassmen with varsity experience. “We want to be at the same level that Heritage Hills is at,”

Wallace said. “This is conference play, we had high expectations coming into this game and had it circled on our calendar with the fact that it was at home with all of our seniors. We tried hard to win this one but we didn’t execute the way I wish we did.” For Heritage Hills, Leibering is excited about the start the Pa-

triots have gotten off to this season and thinks that things can go only go up from where they’re at now. “I think we’re getting there,” said Leibering. “We’re still figuring things out a bit on how to play with each other but I think we’re on the right track to do some good things this year.”

Pats (Concluded from Page 19) “I wasn’t happy with our offensive output at all, I felt like we weren’t hustling in the second half. We tried to go at their defense but we just weren’t very dynamic and that’s something we’ve tried to work on,” Wallace said. “I also want to see more of a
