Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient ways, ask where the good way is, walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. Jeremiah 6:16

pilgrimage is right for everyone at some time; now may just happen to be your time. For over a thousand years, seekers, sages, and ordinary farmers have journeyed on pilgrimage to a holy place. They set out wanting to experience something spiritual, or to find answers to longing questions, at the holy destination. What they often find, is that the true spiritual growth and the answers to their questions are found along the way in the most unexpected places as they journey with other pilgrims seeking similar experiences. There is something deeply meaningful in the act of pilgrimage—being guided on the ancient footpaths of faith to encounter the sacred presence of God in the most unexpected places. The prophet Jeremiah urges us to “stand at the crossroads and look, ask for the ancient paths, where the good way is and walk in it” and then concludes with a promise that “you will find rest for your souls.” If this is a moment in time when you desire to encounter God in the unexpected, we invite you to join us on an adult pilgrimage to Canterbury Cathedral, to place your feet in the steps of others who, throughout history, have found our Lord present and abundant. Be enriched by those who have gone before and by those who dwell in these sacred places. Uncover what may be the hidden entrance of your heart to where God is present. We will spend our time together as we journey towards Canterbury. Once there, The Very Rev. Dr. Robert Willis, Dean of Canterbury Cathedral, and Mr. Andrew Edwards, Director of the Canterbury Trust, have extended an extremely gracious invitation to us for behind the scenes access to experiences otherwise not possible. This is an adult only pilgrimage. The size of the group will be limited to 36 adult pilgrims. + John and Nanci Cain; Randall and Lois Trego

2 February 2016 Dear American Friends, We were immensely struck by the warmth and friendship that greeted us on our visit to the USA last spring. It is an absolute pleasure now to open the doors and experience of Canterbury Cathedral to you on Pilgrimage 2016 in October. We are delighted to invite you to be in residence with us and to share in the daily rhythm of life at the Cathedral. There has been a cathedral here in Canterbury for more than 1400 years, ever since Saint Augustine arrived from Rome in AD 597 accompanied by 40 followers. The community he founded has existed continuously since then and has been a place of pilgrimage for centuries. The mission of Canterbury Cathedral, To Show People Jesus, continues today and it is in this spirit of prayer and praise that we welcome you. It is my prayer that you will be encouraged and strengthened by the life of this holy place and by our time together. God bless you. With all good wishes,

Robert Willis The Very Rev. Dr. Robert Willis, Dean of Canterbury CANTERBURY CATHEDRAL•••CANTERBURY•••KENT•••UNITED KINGDOM
