Pizza Scavenger Hunt  

 

Break your small group up into 2-4 teams. Have Boboli shells or pre-made pizza dough, sauce and mozzarella cheese available for each group. Depending on the timing of your night, you can have the students prepare the pizza crust with sauce & cheese before they go hunting, or when they come back, or a leader can do it while they’re gone. Send groups door-to-door (in a neighborhood you know) to ask for any ingredients they can use as toppings on a pizza (i.e., olives, onions, peppers, other types of cheese, pepperoni, bacon, pineapple… the possibilities are endless). Give them 15-30 minutes (depending on how far apart & how far away the houses are, etc.) to be back at church, or the home where you will be making pizza. Once the groups return, have them put the ingredients they received as toppings on the pizza (obviously don’t use anything that is opened, suspicious-looking, or expired), and bake. When the pizza is finished, have a taste test to determine the winning team.
