ACAP is seeking an experienced individual for the role of Placement Partnerships Advisor. The successful candidate will have a record of assessing and placing students in suitable locations according to course requirements and requirements of the agency. The successful candidate will also have strong networking and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain strong relationships with stakeholders. Overview and Objectives of the Position:
The Placement Partnerships Adviser is responsible for assessing each potential placement agency to ascertain the best fit between students on placement, course requirements, and the needs of the agency and its client populations. The role is accountable for aligning the needs of the students with the requirements of the agency. The position directly reports to the ACAP Campus Manager and functionally reports to the National Placement Operations Manager. This position works closely with student placement team members on all campuses and Discipline members to ensure potential placements meet course requirements. Placement agencies may include: Community organisations, non-government organisations, government services and departments, private sector organisations, counselling agencies, faith-based services, coaching organisations, social welfare and casework organisations, human services organisations, and other suitable organisations able to meet placement requirements. 2. Prepare and assess students according to distinct criteria as guided by each Discipline and the relevant accrediting body Advise and guide students on their placement requirements Prepare students for placement interviews Respond to all enquiries from students in a timely manner
In conjunction with Placement Development team and Discipline requirements, complete and assess agency checklist and audit prior to accepting agency into the program Train and prepare agency prior to first student, and for subsequent years a refresher training (to cover risk, induction, safety training and other topics as required) Respond to high risk or injury in a placement and in conjunction with a Discipline Academic implement mitigation plans and agency exit from program. Liaise with and visit placement agencies as needed
Assess and audit agencies according to placement requirements and suitability prior to accepting agency into the program Match students to agencies according to student suitability, agency criteria and in accordance with relevant Discipline requirements Ensure the placement program follows specified timeframes each trimester i.e. interview period, secondary interviews, allocating students to placements etc.
