SUNDAY // BIBLE EVERY DAY • Every adult, student, and child at Christ Community Church to take up the challenge to spend time in the Bible every day. • People who are skeptical of the Bible to become curious, people who are curious about the Bible to try it out, and people who are casual readers of the Bible to make the Bible central in their life. • Each of us to find God’s Word, “more precious than gold” and “sweeter than honey,” (Psalm 19:10), as it makes us wise, refreshes our souls, brings joy to our hearts, and gives light to our eyes (Psalm 19:7-8). • Our resources for daily Bible reading, including the Bible Savvy and EPIC journals, the new Bible Savvy Podcast, online resources, and workshops, to be effective. • The devil to be unable to put any barrier in the way of people and the Bible, since he knows that there is nothing more powerful than God’s Word for setting people free from sin and empowering them for God’s kingdom.

MONDAY // ADULT MINISTRIES • Jesus’s offer of rest in him to be increasingly applied to each person’s life. • Christ to provide his wisdom to Community Group leaders on how to maintain and build community during a time of restrictions on social connections. • The Lord to protect us from unneeded debates and dialogue that would prevent unity in the Gospel. • The Spirit to bring God-orchestrated connections to those needing to experience God’s care. • Our church to be increasingly drawn together as people with a common faith in Christ above all else.

TUESDAY // CARE & CONNECTION • People who are in need of healing and hope to encounter God through support at Care Night. • Our continued follow-up and connections with those new to Christ Community. • Wisdom and discernment for Care Leaders and Care Mentors, as they help navigate difficult life situations. • Mental health for our church and community during a time of high stress and anxiety. • First responders and frontline workers faced with the overwhelming needs of our community.

WEDNESDAY // NEXT GENERATION • Wisdom and perseverance as we simultaneously run online and in-person ministries for kids and students with the goal of making passionate disciples of Jesus that are belonging, growing, serving, and reaching. • God to bless the KidsWorld and Student volunteers as they give incredible amounts of spiritual, physical, emotional, and relational energy to disciple kids and students. • Wisdom, patience, and fruitfulness for all volunteers, but especially those learning how to serve and lead digitally in our online ministries.

• The students, parents, teachers, and school faculty who are navigating the challenges of remote learning and online school. Pray for understanding, love, and grace to be shown from each group to the other. • The mental and emotional well being of our youth. Pray for the peace of God to surpass all understanding and to guard the hearts and minds of what is statistically the most anxious, stressed, depressed generation in history. • The kids and students of Christ Community to demonstrate an obvious spiritual vibrancy characterized by an intense love of Jesus and submission to his lordship.

THURSDAY // OUTREACH • Everyone in our church who is exploring faith in Jesus. • All of us to have a hunger to learn how to passionately share our faith through our evangelism training. Pray we would put the training into practice. • Our fall outreach among our neighbors and the collection of shoeboxes through Operation Christmas Child. Pray that we will leverage this collection as a way to share Jesus with their neighbors as we serve together. • Families who are struggling with job loss, finances, and food insecurity. Pray that we will actively love these neighbors well. • Our support of our International Impact partners around the world (Bangladesh, Brazil, Czech Republic, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Sierra Leone) as many of them struggle in more severe ways than we experience. Pray for the miraculous multiplication of food and supernatural protection against the virus. • The Holy Spirit to move on people’s hearts during this pandemic, drawing people to himself, making disciples and growing the worldwide church of Jesus Christ!

FRIDAY // CHURCH LEADERSHIP AND STAFF • Continued wisdom in our decisions as our church regathers at each campus. • Our hearts and minds to be focused on seeking first “his kingdom and righteousness” (Matt. 6:33). • Our elders and trustees as they provide guidance for our church. • The staff team as we plan and implement ministry both online and in-person over the next several months. • Continued generous giving and wise financial decision-making so that we can make the best use of God’s resources for God’s purposes.

SATURDAY // CREATIVE ARTS • The Holy Spirit to open our eyes to the beauty of Jesus so that we worship the Father with all that we are and all that we do. • Everyone at Christ Community to make weekend worship a top priority, engaging fully each week, especially as the pandemic continues to make online services at home the norm. • Weekend services to reach people who have not yet surrendered to Christ with the hope of the gospel. • Weekend services to form our hearts, minds, and wills, resulting in people who reflect the character of Christ. • The health and safety of our Creative Arts staff and volunteers, since an outbreak among them would significantly hinder our ability to produce services week after week.
