Port City Community Church Job Description Host Team Volunteer Coordinator

Position: Full time hourly

Reports To: Director of Host Team

Purpose: To coordinate and inspire Host Team volunteers to serve in a way that provides PC3 guest, both first time guest and regular attendees, with a lasting impression. Position Specifications: • • • • • • • • • • • •

Must be a believer of Jesus Christ and an active participant of Port City Community Church (a history of active participation is preferable). Must be a team-oriented person with the ability to design, implement and mature objectives of the Host Team as a part of the Worship Programming Department (WSP). Must be passionate about the Host Team. Must excel in ministry commitment, conduct and professionalism. Must possess training and development skills. Must be action and goal oriented. Must be computer literate. Excellent organization and diplomacy skills are essential. Must demonstrate a value of and naturally participate in personal evangelism. Experience must include program development and execution. Must be able to assist in financial planning and management of the operations of Host Team ministry. Must be highly ethical and able to process sensitive information confidentially. Must demonstrate an acceptable balance of confidence and humility, and must be willing to proactively address issues in accordance with scripture and in alignment with the Port City Community Church statement of faith.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 



Lead captain team  Invest in captains o Assist with appreciation/training events. o Volunteer thank you cards o Celebration in big life events  Coordinate volunteer teams with captains weekly o Help find replacements, when necessary o Answer questions when needed o Follow-up with any issues that happened on Sunday o Provide necessary information to captains, so that they can pass on to their volunteer teams. o Implement & prepare weekly clipboards with Sunday specific content New Volunteer Process  Initial phone conversation

o Explain expectations, arrival locations, scheduling rotation and captain system. Email follow up with new volunteer after first day serving Data entry necessary o Address book/database/CCB o Put on team schedule & contact captain with updated information Host Team/Staff Duties  Help with training/orientation material for new host team volunteers  Recruitment of new volunteers  Help with any other tasks that fall under the host team (just to name a few) o Night of Worship coordination o Holiday coordination o Communion o Assisting in the implementation of elements derived from WSP meetings for Sundays  Weekly host team meeting with Director of Host Team (Lisa Stikeleather)  Attend Staff meeting monthly  Attend WSP meeting monthly  Order t-shirts as needed

General Work Schedule: •

Full time (40 hours, excluding lunch) hourly. Sunday 7:00am-1:00pm and 3:00-7:00pm (10 hours) Monday or Friday Off Tuesday-Thursday 9:00am-5:00pm (24 hours) Monday or Friday 9:00am-3:00pm (6 hours)
