Port City Community Church Job Description Leland Host Team Coordinator

Position: Part time hourly

Reports To: Leland Campus Pastor

Purpose: This individual will coordinate the activities and functions of the Leland Host Team and its volunteers. This will insure the mission of the Host Team which is to be the first impression team of Port City Community Church with a goal to help people walk with God by directing them into our different ministry environments. The candidate must… • Have natural hospitality traits with the ability to lead others. • Be a natural recruiter and team builder. • Have strong communication skills. • Enjoy being attentive to detail and is a good project manager. • Be easily able to manage multiple tasks at the same time. • Be a believer of Jesus Christ and an active participant of Port City Community Church. • Be a team-oriented person with the ability to design, implement and mature objectives of the Host Team as a part of the Worship Programming Department (WSP). • Excel in ministry commitment, conduct and professionalism. • Demonstrate an acceptable balance of confidence and humility while performing tasks for Port City Community Church. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: •

CCB Church Database: • Imputing & verifying volunteer information. • Creating groups within CCB and plugging in all volunteers to their group. • Attend CCB training meetings to get fully trained on the database system. • Pass along necessary information to Captains.



Lead captain team: • Invest in captains: • Coffee outings when necessary. • Birthday cards and thank you cards. • Celebration in big life events. • Coordinate volunteer teams with captains weekly: • Send weekly reminder emails. • Help find replacements, when necessary. • Answer questions when needed. • Follow-up with any issues that happened on Sunday.

Provide necessary information to captains, so that they can pass on to their volunteer teams.



New Volunteer Process: • Get Shirt and Nametags for new volunteer. • Initial phone conversation: • Explain expectations, arrival locations, scheduling rotation and captain system. • Email/card follow up with new volunteer before/after first time serving: • Data entry necessary: • CCB. • Email new volunteer with all information & include captain so they are aware.



Host Team Meeting: • Once a quarter Host Team meeting with entire Leland Host Team at Leland Offices to share vision and shared ownership of Host Team needs. • Once a quarter Host Team fun at Fuzzy Peach or other location.



Sunday Prep: • Restock and reset ministry areas: • Café supplies. • Guest Services supplies. • Greeter/Usher/Parking supplies.



Offering: • Responsible for collecting and counting offering (along with a volunteer or staff member)



Sunday Food for Staff & Volunteers • Work alongside captain to make sure volunteers scheduled to bring hot meal . • Order food for volunteer check-in/break room. • Set up volunteer check-in/break room.



General Host Team/Staff Duties: • Help with any other tasks that fall under the host team (just to name a few) as well as Campus events: • Special Events. • Holiday coordination. • Communion. • Attend All Staff & Leland Staff meetings.

General Work Schedule: •

Part time (20 hours, excluding lunch) hourly.
