Port City Community Church Job Description
Graphic Designer Position: Part Time (Hourly)
Reports To: Director of Media
Purpose: This individual will work with staff, volunteers and other sources in supporting the Media Department by creating graphical elements through print and web for Port City Community Church in keeping with the overall purpose and values of Port City Community Church.

Must be a believer of Jesus Christ and an active participant of Port City Community Church (a history of active participation is preferable). Must demonstrate a value of and naturally participate in personal evangelism. Must be passionate about graphic design & creating creative elements from scratch. Must be a teamoriented person with the ability to design, implement and mature objectives of the Media Department. Must excel in ministry commitment, conduct and professionalism. Must possess training and development skills. Must be action and goal oriented. Experience must include program development and execution. Must be able to assist in financial planning and management of the operations of Media Department. Excellent organization and diplomacy skills are essential. Must be highly ethical and able to process sensitive information confidentially. Must demonstrate an acceptable balance of confidence and humility, and must be willing to proactively address issues in accordance with scripture and in alignment with the Port City Community Church statement of faith. Must be computer literate and must excel in the Mac OSX operating system Must have great working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite w/concentration in Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign. Must have great communication skills to work with outside vendors on projects as well as internal ministry personnel. Must work well within a team setting.

Support Lead Designer and Director of Media to develop graphical assets for campus level content/projects Meet with Lead Designer to discuss initial concepts and direction Ensure assets are in compliance with Brand Guidelines provided Creating assets for websites such as banners and promotional material within an existing format Developing creative material for social content (Instagram, Facebook, etc) Support the Lead Designer in producing creative deliverables that are relevant to the original creative direction Assist Volunteer Designers to produce creative deliverables that are relevant to the original creative direction Participate in initial creative ideation phase Responsible for Weekend Announcement slides, Pre/Post Service Slides and lowerthird graphics Attend monthly PC3 Staff Meeting Attend Monthly Wilmington Campus Staff meeting

Monday: OFF Tuesday: 9:00 AM 5:00 PM (7 Hours) Wednesday: 9:00 AM 5:00 PM (7 Hours) Thursday: 9:00 AM 4:00 PM (6 Hours) Friday: OFF
Total Hours = 20 per week Note: All full time jobs are to be scheduled at 40 hours unless otherwise noted in the job description. Part time hours are to be scheduled to the amount of hours that have been budgeted for the position.
