APM82181 Media Server / NAS Reference Design
The AppliedMicroTM Media Server reference kit was developed for OEMs targeting the rapidly expanding Media Server / NAS market. As digital media becomes more pervasive at home, consumers are expecting to have access to their stored data anywhere, anytime, without concerns for security breaches and data corruption. In addition to having access to stored data, consumers expect data to be served in real-time without having to worry about the underlying storage technology.

The Hana reference design is aimed at the low-to-high-end Media Server / NAS market for consumers who want to keep their digital data secure and accessible. With its compact design and sleek looks, Hana offers all of the features required by today’s digital consumers. Hana makes it easy to organize, access, and safely share photos, videos, music, and E-mail at home or on the road.
Hana’s built-in security and backup features keep valuable digital data protected from intrusion and corruption. Compatible with many multi-Terabyte hard drives, Hana can store hundreds of hours of video and hundreds of thousands of songs and pictures. If additional storage is required, Hana’s intuitive web browser User Interface makes installing and configuring additional disk drives easy.
