PRAY 57 WEEK 5 PRAYER THEMES Days 29-35: October 9-15 This is day number 29 of Pray 57, a season of prayer at North Ridge Church. The call to united prayer grew out of an ongoing and deepening desire to clarify the vision, mission and strategy of our church as we live and minister in the city of Raleigh. We have been asking the Lord to align the heart of our church with His heart of love for our city. Thank you for praying. If you have not been participating start today. We are expecting great answers to prayer!

For my own heart: Thankfulness.

Lord, you daily fill my life with blessing. Give me a thankful heart. Teach me to be grateful even when I’m in the hard place where I feel lonely, sad or afraid. Teach me to choose thanksgiving rather than complaint. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

For the “one” that I am lifting up: Salvation.

Lord, you have put __________________ on my heart. Please open their mind to understand the Gospel, and soften their heart to receive it that they might find new life in Christ.

For my church: That we will be a prayer saturated church. Lord, teach us that prayer is our first work. Teach us to pray with faith and purpose. We know that we need to meet with you often in the secret place of prayer, and we need to gather with others in the power of united prayer. Lord, make us a church that wins our battles through prayer.

For my country: Repentance.

Lord, our nation has turned away from you to go our own way. We have traded the pursuit of justice, righteousness and moral character for the pursuit of comfort, safety, selffulfillment, pleasure and wealth. We have traded Truth for “tolerance”, and have enacted laws that disregard the sacredness of life, sex and marriage. Forgive us. Turn our hearts to you.
