Mission Trip Prayer Card Nicaragua March 3–10, 2018
TEAM MEMBERS: Lara Overy, Isabel Overy, Rodelle Williams, Mattie Wezah, Anna Destino, Beth Guthall, Sarah Mock, Riley Morris, and Janet Parker DAY 1: Saturday, March 3 Please pray for safe travels and health for the team on the start of their journey to Nicaragua. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. - JAMES 5:16B DAY 2: Sunday, March 4 Please pray for health, safe travels, and rest for the team as they arrive very late into Managua and have only a few hours to sleep before starting a long day in Matagalpa. Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established. - PROVERBS 16:3 DAY 3: Monday, March 5 Join the team in their daily prayer walk through the community and pray for the families that will be served and fed over the course of the next week through the bible camp, distribution of bibles, and ministry to pregnant women. Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage, and the ends of the earth your possession. - PSALM 2:8 DAY 4: Tuesday, March 6 The team will begin their day with another prayer walk through the community followed by feeding the children and ministering to pregnant mothers in the community. Please pray for the mothers and families who will be impacted. For the needy shall not always be forgotten, and the hope of the poor shall not perish forever. - PSALM 9:18
DAY 5: Wednesday, March 7 During the team’s morning prayer walk, they will be focusing on caregivers. Please join them in praying for the leaders and caregivers who are serving the community along with the children’s bible camp that will happen in the afternoon. After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” - REVELATION 7:9-10 DAY 6: Thursday, March 8 In the final morning prayer walk, join the team in praying for the community of families that have been served and for Pastor Nieve’s continued leadership and devotion to God’s calling. After bible camp, the team ends their time in the community with a fun Easter egg hunt with the kids. I was ready to be sought by those who did not ask for me; I was ready to be found by those who did not seek me. I said, “Here I am, here I am,” to a nation that was not called by my name. - ISAIAH 65:1 DAY 7: Friday, March 9 The team will spend the day sightseeing to experience and learn more about the culture of the country before preparing to head home the next day. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” - MATTHEW 9:37-38 DAY 8: Saturday, March 10 Pray for safety and traveling mercies for the team as they return back home after a long overnight flight.
