Lord, anoint the presenters and participants at Horizons’ national annual “Engaging Islam Institute” Weekend Seminar in Dearborn, MI, this weekend. Also, bless those coming to the Weeklong Institute beginning May 27 as they prayerfully walk through Dearborn’s large Muslim community, practicing the outreach skills they learn in the training. May many Syrian refugees there come to know Christ.

Pray that the summer activities for the College Ministry will start well and bring in new Tulsa students as well as encourage our current students. According to Your Word, Father, make Asbury a House of Prayer for ALL Nations. Use our international ministry to draw all nations to Asbury for Your glory.

Pray blessings on the wonderful women who make quilts for those who are ill or those in need of comfort. Praise God for those willing to make baby blankets for newborns here at Asbury. Pray for leaders Dotti Westerberg and Karen Weiss. Pray that each person who receives a quilt will sense the love of God and the prayers for healing and comfort that come with each quilt.

Pray for Asbury's senior adults as they participate in Project Transformation June 24-28 at Southern Hills UMC. They will be working with children who need to maintain or increase their reading levels.

Pray for each person who enters Asbury’s doors today to feel the presence of the Holy Spirit. Pray for guests to feel warmly welcomed and have a desire to return. Lord, fan the flame of faith in our hearts and ignite fresh fire to seek the Lord and love the Lord with all of our hearts.

Lord, bless Asbury’s own Andrea Livingston as she begins her service with our partner ministry in Beirut. Pray for a smooth transition as she settles into her new home and begins deepening relationships. Help the new role which was created for her to become clear to her and to all, as she disciples’ women and young adults there, serving as “Grandma” to many refugees who have lost family in the Syrian war. Help her be quick to gain a working knowledge of Arabic.

Pray for every member to prepare their hearts for worship tomorrow and make it a priority to attend. Our partners in Syria report that natural gas for heating, cooking and running factories is in short supply. Pray that God would supernaturally supply for His children and that this situation will come to an end.

Pray for Annual Conference May 28 to 30. Pray for God’s great grace, wisdom, guidance and protection moving forward in alignment with God’s will.

Pray for two Estonia VIM teams June 27 to July 8. One goes to the Lighthouse Ministry in Tallinn led by Dave Meilner and the other to Camp Gideon led by Cole Disney & Riley Cramer.

Pray blessings for the wonderful women in Healing Hats who crochet hats for cancer patients who have lost their hair. Pray for leader Sue Fisher. Pray that each person who receives a hat will sense the love of God and the prayers for healing that come with each hat. Pray for the Perceptions Ministry to continue to touch people who hear them each day on the radio.

Pray for the joy of the Lord to shine through every word, action, attitude, behavior, thought and moment of serving at 2nd Saturday tomorrow. Pray for families to laugh and love each other, connecting on a beautiful level. Pray for the devotional to touch hearts and souls and for people to have a deeper relationship with Christ. Pray for Vacation Bible School June 18-21. Pray for the V.B.S. Prayer Watch to be an effective and powerful catalyst to cover the children and adult leaders in prayer and for courageous commitments to sign up to pray with every slot covered. Pray for V.B.S. to result in a record setting number of commitments to Jesus Christ with confessions of faith. Pray for more women to feel comfortable attending the bi-monthly Widow’s Support Group. Pray for leaders Melissa Phenicie and Shae Hedrick. Praise God these groups are growing, especially the young widow’s group.

Pray for those who come to Mental Health for Families to share their struggles concerning the mental illness affecting someone they love. Pray for leader Linda Lytle and for God to bring her a co-leader. Pray for the participants in the Divorce Support Group to have hope as they rebuild their lives. Pray for emotional, spiritual, physical, social, and financial needs to be met as they trust the Lord. Pray for Jim Small as he leads.

Pray for the Marriage Ministry Team as they seek the Lord about expanding to become the Marriage and Family Ministry Team, thus adding parenting classes, etc. Pray for the planning of the fall Couples Date Night.

Pray that the gospel would continue to spread across the MENA region (Middle East/North Africa) and that those who accept Christ would thrive and continue to grow in their knowledge of and intimacy with Jesus so they will thrive in their walk with Him. Pray for wisdom and guidance for all of our governing committees – Board of Trustees, Finance, Staff Parish Relation Committee and Ad Council as they so faithfully serve Asbury.

Pray for the Asbury leaders off site meeting May 31 and June 1. Pray for productive planning time away from distractions and clarity of vision for the direction of projects. Pray for the Overlap Camp at Camp Egan May 31 to June 4 for our youth. Pray for it to be a time that draws them closer to God.

Pray for the couples participating in the Off-Season Indoor Picnic as they continue their development to become a more complete expression of who God made them to be and that God leads them to service opportunities where they can utilize their spiritual gifts.

Pray for 1Nation1Day, Peru June 21 to July 1. Asbury will be serving in Arequipa with a medical team and a ministry team. Beverly Bryan, Nancy Eckerd, and Marilene Long are the coordinators of our Asbury group of this nearly 5,000member nation-wide outreach. Pray specifically for the large evangelistic events on Saturday, June 29 which will be held all across the country and on nation-wide television. Pray for single moms to be drawn to attend SMILE, build friendships and discover the resources available to them through Asbury. Pray for leader Janet Hall.

Pray for our Students/Youth Team staff members of Shelby Hood, Katie Miller and David Read. Pray for God to give them wisdom and guidance as they mentor our young people to be lifelong servants of God.

Pray for the college VIM Team which will be serving the Big Heart Orphanage in Reynosa Mexico June 1-8. Joe Brower is the team leader. They will do construction and love on the young residents. Pray for Asbury believers to have a fresh hunger for the Lord and for the people He loves so that we will love one another as we love ourselves.

Pray for the newly formed opportunity for working women to attend Working Women’s Breakfast tomorrow morning at First Watch. Pray for Pastor Andrea as she will be doing the devotions.

Pray for all worship services this morning that all will go smoothly. Pray for Children’s Ministry to have adequate number of volunteers and for the children to learn to love Jesus.

Pray for all that’s involved with the VIM teams in July, and in the fall to Mexico, Estonia, Guatemala, Lebanon, and Tanzania. Pray for people to be willing to serve and for all the details to be worked out and all to go smoothly.

Pray for the volunteers of the Care Card Ministry as they assemble, sign, pray over and mail cards. Pray that those receiving them will be encouraged and remember that they are loved as they go through a tough time. Pray for leader Nancy Smith and her team. Pray for each person who leads an area of LifeCare, that their passion will remain strong, so they serve the people in their ministry with a heart full of love and compassion. Pray that they can each help others follow Jesus in the midst of life’s unwelcome challenges. Pray that God sends the couples He desires to attend the Home Training session for Life Quest Couples Coaching in August to learn their unique purpose and for couples for the Coach Couple Training group starting in September.

Pray for our 6th to 12th graders as they meet every Sunday morning at 9:15 in the Venue. Pray for this to be a special time of learning and worship. May the God of peace, Himself sanctify us completely and may our whole spirit, soul and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our LORD Jesus Christ.

Pray for the Couple to Couple Marriage Mentoring program for engaged couples. Pray that each couple will connect well with their Asbury Support Couple and that they would discover necessary things about each other prior to the wedding.

Pray for families to spend time reconnecting this weekend after a busy week. Pray for a renewal and restoration of our love for God so that we are empowered with true joyful obedience. Pray for two of the elderly, godly pastors in Syria. They are fervent, admired leaders in their communities, but are under great pressure and hardship. Ask God to strengthen them and raise up more pure leaders like these who will invest in other leaders from the next generation. Pray for Pastor David Thomas as he visits the Franciscan Villa and The Arbors to lead the residents in a Service of Worship with Holy Communion. Pray that God will minister His love through the service and make His love known in a special way through the receiving of the elements. Pray for the Local Outreach Board meeting tonight that they will have wisdom for their decisions. Pray for the team that God has put together to lead the ministry for men and women who have cancer and also for their loved ones. Pray for continued wisdom in how to proceed. They are praying about creating Cancer Care Packages for newly diagnosed members and stop offering the actual support group as it has not been well attended. Pray for the team of Amy Payne, Rex Powell, Claudia Cobb and Ellen Bracken. Praise God that we can worship Him freely, without fear of being persecuted. Pray for our brothers and sisters around the world who are not as fortunate. Pray for God to strengthen and sustain them. Pray for Asbury members as they prepare to spend time with family and friends celebrating the 4th of July. Pray for safety and quality time together.
