2019 YOUTH ON MISSIONS 7th & 8th GRADE KENTUCKY SPECIFICS TRAVEL DAYS: MARCH 15 AND MARCH 23 Students and leaders will have the chance to plug into the work Red Bird Mission does in serving the rural poor. We will be doing home repairs including roofs, porches, ramps and interior improvement. We will be working on homes of people in the region around Red Bird Mission. The objective for this trip includes exposing students to a wide variety of needs, as well as challenging students to see their role as Christians.

Merciful Father, thank You for travel mercies for our students and leaders to and from Red Bird, Kentucky, as well as, in cars to and from the work sites. Keep their busses and cars in good working order. We thank You for Your merciful protection of the health of every student and leader. Gracious Father, thank You for blessing our bus drivers with wisdom, health and stamina. Guide them in using good judgment to stay alert and awake as they drive. Sovereign Lord, thank You for reigning sovereign over the weather. We ask for good weather to travel and serve You on mission in Kentucky. Lord Almighty, thank You for protecting our students and leaders from accidents. Help them use wisdom at the work sites. Thank You for experiences of unity, joy and fun as they serve You this week. Mighty Lord, thank You for opening the eyes of our students and leaders to the rural poor where they are serving. Cultivate in them a heart of gratitude for ALL they have at home that they may be forever changed and transformed to help others and to follow Jesus. Compassionate Jesus, thank You for Your heart of mercy, love and compassion for every person You created. Help our students and leaders see those they serve through Your eyes. Give them favor to build relationships and to boldly share the Gospel. All for Your glory, Father! Gracious God, thank You for giving our students and leaders extravagant grace to display humility and love toward one another and others. Bless them to be a blessing to everyone. Loving Lord, thank You for our leaders. Pour Your love, wisdom, strength and patience into them as they lead the students under their care. Help them to establish good relationships with each student on their team. Faithful Father, thank you for Mark, the Kentucky team leader. Bless and equip him with good health, strength, wisdom, discernment and patience. Thank You for giving him sensitivity to hear and yield to Your voice. (John 10:4)
