Divine – having their origin in the plan and purposes of God Opportunities – your part in their fulfillment being dependent upon faith and obedience to follow God’s purposes.
The Divine Origin: “Now the LORD had said to Abram:” Divine Opportunities are always based upon God’s Word. The Opportunities (the big “IF”): 1. “Get out of your country,” - representing his security 2. “From your family,” - representing his notoriety 3. “And from your father’s house,” - representing his prosperity The Crisis of Faith: “Go to a land that I will show you.” Illustration: “FLASHLIGHT faith” The Corresponding Blessings (“THEN”): 1. “I will make you a great nation;” - God provides His security by His Presence 2. “I will bless you” - God provides His prosperity by granting perfect peace and contentment 3. “And (I will) make your name great;” - God provides His notoriety by making His Name great in and through us. The Overflow of Obedience: 1. “And you shall be a blessing.” 2. “I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you;” 3. “And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” (Galatians 3:6-9) •
We are blessed so that we might be a blessing.

Equip•them is the serving arm for Sunday morning ministries. We have nearly 600 opportunities to serve. Some needs require 15 minutes before the service, others may require the whole equipping hour. eastcooperbaptist.com/serve

This class is a basic introduction to our church family you can be involved with our global partners and is a requirement for joining the church. For detailed event information please go online. TODAY Our monthly Global Impact Report includes updates on our partners, specific prayer requests, and more. This is one of the best ways to stay informed. You can sign up today simply by going to eastcooperbaptist.com/global. TONIGHT We welcome you back for the Global Impact Conference churchwide celebration. This will be a wonderful evening of worship, prayer, and encouragement. Make plans to attend this service at 6:00p in the Sanctuary. Volunteers will be teaching basic English to small groups. The classes expose students to a clear, culturally based gospel presentation and are a part of a larger church planting strategy of our global partners in Bangkok. Applications due March 4. Trip Dates April 18 - 28. APPLY ONLINE In Bangladesh our volunteers will work alongside our partners to share the gospel. Our work may include teaching English to children in a slum school, working with Rohingya refugees, teaching a Bible study, and more. Applications due April 15. Trip Dates June 27 - July 8. APPLY ONLINE We will be taking a trip to the Czech Republic. Volunteers will help a Czech church lead evangelistic English and Sports Camps for young people. Applications due April 15. Trip Dates June 28 - July 9. APPLY ONLINE TODAY Volunteer registration is now open! Our Vacation Bible School this year is from June 10-15. Volunteers receive early registration for their kids. This year’s sports related theme is entitled “Game On!” VOLUNTEER TODAY MAR 9 The FAM & Friends Ministries want to partner with parents who are fostering or adopting children, or who have a child with special needs. Fun Nights are a night for kids to have fun and for parents to have a time of respite. Meets in the Gym from 5:30- 8:30p. REGISTER ONLINE APR 1 Make plans to join us Easter Sunday as we celebrate our risen Savior and Lord.
