Behold, I am making all things new! The Book of Revelation declares a powerful vision of hope for God’s People with a glimpse of the new heaven and new earth. In that place, God is making All Things New. This is our future, but it is also our today. All Things New is my prayer for this season of life and ministry at First Baptist. We have been through a difficult season of changes, but I am encouraged by the promise of All Things New. New things begin today in worship. I look forward to us worshiping together each Sunday. Dr. Wade Smith It is fitting that our children lead our first worship together service. Next week the All Things New worship series begins with the Lord’s Supper and Baptism. What new things will we experience? The start of school provides a wonderful opportunity to live in the reality of new things. Promotion Sunday, August 20, means new children and youth LifeGroups. Beginning Wednesday, August 23, FBC Kids offers new music, missions and scripture learning opportunities. Have you seen the newly painted children’s area? Clint Taylor and our Youth Ministry team are excited about new things in youth ministry. Watch for details on the upcoming parent-youth fellowship on August 26 and the 100th anniversary Falls Creek youth celebration. August 19 is a Day of Prayer in anticipation of new things. Please join us for an hour to pray for and discover new things. May God prepare our church for the new opportunities and people coming our way. May God continue to create within us new attitudes of hospitality and generosity as we Love People, Teach the Word and Live the Journey of life and faith together. Who will you invite to be part of all that God is making new at First Baptist?
