August 12, 2012 Welcome to First Baptist Church! What a wonderful day it is to gather and worship. We welcome those who may be at First Baptist for the first time. We trust that you will find us friendly. More importantly, we pray that God would use this worship time to draw you closer to Him. As the Olympics have come to a close, we are completing our series called “Going for the Spiritual Gold.” As part of our worship this morning, we will be introducing and praying for the teachers of our Christian School—First Baptist Christian School. I trust that you will pray for this very important ministry of our church. Please give consideration to joining us this semester in our FAITH Evangelism Training. Our training begins on Tuesday, August 28, with an evening of orientation beginning at 6:00 p.m. Every believer ought to be trained in sharing his or her faith in Jesus Christ. If you have never participated in some kind of evangelism training, I pray that you will think about joining us. If you have already been trained, please consider putting that training into practice for this semester of FAITH. I am thrilled at what I hear happening in some of our Sunday School classes. Many of you have responded so well to our encouragement to reproduce your class. This is going to make us better, provide greater personal attention, and produce greater excitement in our church. Teachers, please give attention to your meeting this afternoon at 4:45 p.m. Thank you, in advance, for your faithful attendance. Finally, don’t forget about our ONE Day joint worship celebration on September 2 at 10:00 a.m. I want to urge everyone, even though this will be Labor Day Weekend, to give maximum effort to join us for this special worship gathering.
