Valentina Sampaio
Biography Valentina Sanpalio was born in Aquiraz, a little fishermen’s village in Ceara State, Brazil. Her mother was a teacher while her father followed suit as a local fisherman. Valentina was quickly launched into her career with national exclusivity as the ambassador of L’Oreal Paris alongside women like Grazi Massafera, Tais Araujo and Juliana Paes. From there, Valentina became one of Brazil’s biggest rising stars. At Brazil Fashion Week, Valentina was sought after for brands like A La Garconne, Help Rocha, Patricia Vieira, Ronaldo Fraga, Amir Slama, Isabela Capeto and Lilly Sarti. Valentina landed her first fashion magazine covers for Elle Brazil and L’Official Brazil. It didn’t take her much time to rock the international scene either. Valentina was featured on the March 2017 issue of the infamous publication Vogue Paris in an 18-page, doublecover photographic extravaganza by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott. Entitled “Transgender Beauty”, this epic collaboration consecrated Valentina as the first transgender to cover the iconic magazine. Valentina has also been the face of big fashion brands like Balmain, Hope for Alexandre Herchcovitch, Schutz, Melissa and Morena Rosa. In 2017, Valentina took part of a big fashion event for L’Oreal alongside iconic names like Jane Fonda & Helen Mirren during Paris Fashion Week while in that same year interpreting a role in the movie “Berenice Procura” with named actors Vera Holtz, Eduardo Moscovis and Claudia Abreu. Her achievements have been highly recognised to the point of being elected a finalist at Premio Quem Acontece, realised by the Editora Globo, as “Model Of the Year”.
