Why do you think it’s easy to hide with “fig leaves” in the face of sin, even the sins of others that affect us? What does hiding do to us? Why does it seem like God is silent in suffering and pain? How does the ministry of Jesus speak into this, especially what he did to the fig tree (Mk 11:12-22)? How might God want to do in your life from the truth that, through the blood of Christ, you can be a “prisoner of hope” (Zechariah 9:11-12)? What would it look like, for you, to be available for the Spirit to use you to bring healing and hope to those around you?

Bottom Line Christ offers hope, healing, and freedom, as he overcomes the power of sin and shame.
