Pursuing Significance Life Group Agenda for February 22nd - 28th, 2015 Welcome ​ (5 minutes) - Welcome everyone. This is a time for us to focus inward on our relationships with one another. ​ Share the Goals and ONE Guideline at this time. Ice-Breaker​ (5 minutes) - Go around the group and let everyone answer the following question: 1. What is the greatest accomplishment you have made in your life so far? If you can’t think of one, what is an accomplishment you would like to make on this earth? 2. How did it go last week, encouraging someone that was hurting physically, spiritually or emotionally? (LEADER: This is from the end of last week’s agenda, if you did not have Life Group, then you can skip the question) Worship ​ (5 - 15 minutes) – This is a time for us to focus upward on our relationship with the Lord. Prepare a creative worship time that can be enjoyed by children, teens and adults. You will release the children to Kids’ Slot time after the worship. Word ​ (45 - 55 Minutes) – ​ Philippians 3:1-11 3. What were some of Paul’s accomplishments and how did he feel about his accomplishments? 4. What was Paul’s focus for his life? 5. Take a look at verse 8 and 9 again, what did this mean to Paul and what does it personally mean to you, today? 6. Who are some well accomplished or significant people in our world today and based on Paul’s criteria, how would those people measure up? 7. What are ways that people are looking for significance and satisfaction? 8. Thinking of Christ’s life, what are some ways that we can gain more significance in the kingdom of God? 9. Verse 10 tells of knowing Christ’s mighty power (the Holy Spirit), how has the power of God showed up in your life? (LEADER: this is a great time for testimonies of salvations, healings and life transformation, make sure to leave time for members to share.) 10. We can all try to accomplish great things in our school, job or family, but in what ways would we like to find our significance and satisfaction in Christ? Prayer Time 11. Real significance and satisfaction comes from Jesus, spend time praying for each other to grow in your relationship with Christ and asking for His direction to grow stronger in the Lord. Witness ​ (5 minutes) ● Are you ready for Difference Makers Conference 2015!?!?! You and your Life Group are invited to attend this life changing conference with challenging general sessions, phenomenal worship and educational break-out sessions.
