Rachael Taylor Rachael’s appearance in the global hit Transformers for Paramount/DreamWorks, produced by Steven Spielberg, directed by Michael Bay directing and starring opposite Shia LaBeouf, Jon Turturro and Jon Voight brought her international attention. She then starred in the lead role in the psychological thriller Shutter, for 20th Century Fox and New Regency Studios, which opened in 2008 at number 3 in the US Box Office and has earned over $50 million in US B.O. Also that year, Rachael completed filming the US feature Bottle Shock, starring opposite Alan Rickman, Bill Pullman and Chris Pine. The film premiered at Sundance Film Festival in January 2008 where Rachael was also honoured by the Festival as one of the 2008 “7 Fresh Faces in Film" and opened to great critical reviews in the US in September 2008. Rachael then returned to Australia to star in the critically acclaimed feature film Cedar Boys with Martin Henderson and Les Chantery. She then returned to NY to star in a lead role on the US comedy film Splinterheads and following that moved to Belfast in the UK to shoot a psychological thriller Ghost Machine opposite Luke Ford and Sean Faris. In 2009 Rachael completed shooting in the lead role in the US HBO Network’s pilot episode of Washingtonienne, a new TV series by executive producer Sarah Jessica Parker. She then returned to outback Australia to shoot the feature Summer Coda, which was the first film to sell out at MIFF 2010 and was released in October 2010. In 2010, Rachael completed filming Australian feature film Red Dog, starring opposite Josh Lucas and directed by Kriv Stenders. In 2011, Red Dog became Australia’s 8th largest box office grossing Australian film and the biggest-selling Australian DVD of all time. The film dominated the 2011 Inside Film Awards; it was nominated in nine categories and won seven, also receiving the Best Feature Film award. Red Dog was also nominated for eight 2012 AACTA Awards and won the 2012 AACTA Award for “Best Film”. Also in 2010, Rachael completed filming in Moscow on Regency Enterprises film Darkest Hour, directed by Chris Gorak and starring opposite Emile Hirsch, the film was released in the USA on 25th December 2011. Finally in 2010, Rachael starred opposite Josh Lawson in Working Dog’s romantic comedy Any Questions for Ben, directed by Rob Sitch, which was released in late January 2012.

Rachael’s success has continued. She has been the face of the BONDS Australia since early 2011, she filmed a recurring lead role in Grey’s Anatomy for US ABC TV, and then shortly after a lead role in the series Charlie’s Angels, also for US ABC. In between television projects, Rachael completed a lead role in thriller Loft, whose cast includes James Marsden & Wentworth Miller, which was released in 2014. In 2012 Rachael appeared in a lead role in ABC TV’s 666 Park Avenue starring as Jane Van Veen for the duration of the series. In 2014 Rachael appeared in the series lead role of Susan Dunn in NBC Universal’s Crisis alongside Dermot Mulroney and Gillian Anderson and has recently completed filming Netflix’s Marvel series AKA Jessica Jones opposite Krystan Ritter.
