Reformation Lutheran School & Preschool Weekly Newsletter

WEEK OF JUNE 9-15, 2019 Principal's Message - Built on the Rock School Year Theme - Isaiah 26:4: "Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord himself, is

the rock eternal." This will be my last Principal's Message for the 2018–19 school year and it has been a wonderful year at that. The teachers and staff of Reformation have loved watching your kids grow academically and socially this school year and are proud to have been a part of their school journey. What's even more amazing is the faith that they have professed in their Lord. This year we learned that when we concentrate FIRST on Jesus as our Rock, everything else in life seems to fall into place or " t." I pray the children remember this message for the rest of their lives. We thank you for your continued support. We could not do the important work we do in our classrooms without you–our dedicated Reformation parents/guardians. The trust you put in us to guide and grow your children is truly appreciated. I would like to thank our outstanding faculty and support staff. Reformation teachers and staff work tirelessly to develop engaging, differentiated lessons that bring your child's learning to the next level, and give them a loving and safe environment in which they can feel comfortable. I am honored to work with this dedicated group of professionals every day. As our 8th graders move on up to their respective high schools, we wish them the best of luck. This class of students is kind and caring and I know this talented group of students will go on to do great things in their near and distant future. Lastly, students, have a wonderful summer! You have worked very hard this year. Take some time now to enjoy your childhood. Relax your minds and get ready for the next stage in life. But as you relax, don't relax from God. You might want to ll your summer with so many things: hiking, beach trips, movies, video games, friends, vacations, sleeping, no homework, etc. But if you concentrate on those things rst, is there room for Jesus? So, concentrate on Jesus rst. THEN! You will have room for all those wonderful summer items. Go Raiders and God's blessings to you all during the summer months! In Christ's Service, Michael Ross, Principal

Lost and Found - Last Call! As the school year winds down, please do an assessment of your students' missing items of clothing and jewelry. We have a signi cant amount of items that haven't been claimed, including adult quality items. Please check with the o ce manager as some items go back to the beginning of the year. Any items that are not claimed by the end of the school today will be donated to a local charity. Thank you.

Walk-A-Thon Milestone Update Thank you to everyone who donated for our Walk-A-Thon! It was a beautiful day for some exercise. We had a number of students walk over 30 laps in an hour and a half. We had two students hit a record 38 laps! Our walk-a-thon raises money for tuition assistance so that we can help offset the cost of tuition at Reformation so that more people are able to hear about Jesus. There were even a few younger students who thought for every lap they ran, another child would get to hear about Jesus. What amazing motivation and dedication. This year to date, we have raised $9,848! A few of our classrooms hit the average of $60/student and enjoyed a pizza party today. If anyone would still like to give for tuition assistance you may drop off the money in the o ce. We can still add it to the total amount raised.
