Reformation Lutheran School & Preschool Weekly Newsletter

WEEK OF NOVEMBER 4 - 10, 2018 Principal's Message (From Mr. Ross at the Arizona/California District Teachers’ Conference) As I sit here at our Teachers’ Conference in Mesa, Arizona, the question was asked “Why do we care so much about Christian education?” To simply answer that, I pull a quote from Psalm 78:4, “we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the LORD, his power, and the

wonders he has done.” This world will tell our youth many different things and often times not godly things. So, God commands us to tell the next generation the wonders that he has done, the wonders of creation, the wonders of redemption, the wonders of sancti cation, and the wonders of His love. Psalm 78 continues in verse 6, “so the next generation would know them, even the children yet to be born, and they in turn would tell their children.”

As the Reformation staff sits and re ects on the work of God that we have been privileged to carry on, we are so thankful for our parents and grandparents who shared the Word with us, so that we can pass it on to the next generation. Psalm 78 nishes this thought in verse 7 with 3 goals for sharing that Word. “Then they would 1. Put their trust in God and 2. Would not forget

his deeds but 3. Would keep his commands.” This is the reason that Reformation Lutheran School exists, to help parents and our community share the Gospel with our youth so that, by the grace of God, we can meet these 3 goals listed in Psalm 78:7. What a privilege your Reformation staff has to share that and we thank you all for partnering with us in this important work!

Our conference ends tomorrow with the theme, “Educated for Eternity.” We are being lled spiritually as well as professionally and we look forward to getting back to San Diego to continue our work. “Have a blessed weekend” - The Reformation Staff
