Rancho Bernardo Community Presbyterian Church

Why, What, and How of Stewardship Why is our church important to those who attend and others in our community? We recently asked people to describe the kind of church they wanted to be a part of.Their answers were inspiring. Many want a church that proclaims the good news of Christ in ways that connect with all the different generations around us today. We want meaningful connections inside the church and out.To the extent that we continue to be a church that proclaims Christ and in His name, cares, loves, and supports, we fulfill God’s purpose for RBCPC in our community. What is the church doing to increase its impact within and outside the church? The leadership and staff are energized and aggressively moving forward with new initiatives to grow those in the church and make a difference beyond it.We have ultimately established three values that drive our new positions and endeavors. We become disciples, grow relationships and serve everywhere. This is more than a vision statement, it is a call to new ways of collaborating together. This year the congregation will see familiar people doing entirely new things based on passion and calling. We will also have new faces called to participate in powerful ways, especially in contemporary worship and student ministries at every level. How does making one financial decision help you live out our values? Faithful giving is a proven way that helps us BECOME DISCIPLES. Jesus said,“Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Sharing in the financial commitment weaves our lives together as we GROW RELATIONSHIPS. Paul said,“One person sows and another one reaps, but God makes it grow.” Over the years, churches have discovered that people who give also willingly SERVE EVERYWHERE. James said,“Faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.” So, while the church needs finances to sustain its ministries, giving also helps us all accomplish our core values.

This year RBCPC would like your help in saying thank you to the men and women of our armed forces. We want to say thank you for their constant sacrifice and for defending our freedoms. Here are four ways you can say thank you: 1.This is probably the most important way to say thank you.You have veterans in your neighborhood, or you’ll pass some wearing a uniform this November and when you do just say thank you. 2. As in past years, the deacons are collecting monetary donations on the Courtyard to provide holiday meals for services
