Specifications for ITS53 Staff Augmentation Posting ITS53_Data_BarnstCounty_FY14_001 (Rate Card Title: Web Software Developer II) The Cape Cod Commission is seeking a Web Database Developer who is available on an on-call basis to construct new and maintain existing web portals that consume multiple data types and sources. Applicants must possess a collection of programming and database management skills necessary to reaching our goal of providing web based solutions to our collection of municipal & private clients. Possible projects could include: http://watershedmvp.org/ and http://www.statscapecod.org/. Successful candidate will work with existing staff to improve existing applications as well as participate in several custom development and modernization projects.

Essential duties: Design, develop, document, test and deploy code in a multi-tiered environment Work with business analysts in gathering requirements Develop working prototypes and mockups based on business requirements Collaborate with technical services teams in integrating the SQL and GIS data Propose system requirements Initiate new technologies, ideas and architecture for building high performance portals Required skills: Specific web development skills will include but are certainly not limited to ASP.NET/ASP/PHP, JavaScript, AJAX and related frameworks including EXT, jQuery and JSON-based web services.

5-10 years experience in designing, developing and testing object oriented applications in Java with considerable experience in full life-cycle development. 5 years experience with Microsoft SQL server Knowledge of various Java libraries Knowledge of generating dynamic PDF and Excel documents Advanced proficiency in developing HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HTML forms and complex tables, XML and XSLT Proven experience in tasks involving database design, database programming, best practices, and design patterns using Microsoft SQL Server. Desired skills: Experience with HTML5 Experience with dynamic charting packages & reporting packages Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously Experience with Munis software
