DAY 2

If you look at the Bible as a book of rules, you can get overwhelmed really fast. But Jesus did us a favor. He summarized all of the rules, commands, Proverbs and letters into a four-letter word. Grab your colored pencils, crayons or markers and color in that word below. Then, around the edges of the letters, write some of the ways you can show love to others like Jesus showed love to you.

ASK God to help you love others like Jesus loves you.

Love from God is what gives US the power to love each other! If you’re ever having a hard time showing love to others, take some time to reflect on the love God has shown you. Let His love empower you to love others well.

KNOW that you love others because God loved you first. READ 2 CORINTHIANS 9:10-11 What was your favorite gift you got for Christmas? Draw a picture of it to the right: Okay, now go give it away to someone. JUST KIDDING! But here’s something super cool: The kinds of gifts God gives us are MEANT to be given away, but when we give them away, we continue to receive those same gifts from God! When we realize how much God loves us, that knowledge helps us show others compassion by our words and our actions. And the more we show compassion to others, the more deeply we can experience God’s love toward us! It’s a never-ending circle of compassion!

THANK God for His love for you, and ask Him to help you keep giving His love away in the year ahead.
