Redwood Canopy Tour Participant Requirements for Outdoor Science Students The Redwood Canopy Tour is designed for participants in reasonable good health. Due to the nature of the tour, we reserve the right to refuse participation to anyone. Please Review the Following Regulations      

All guests must be 52 inches tall, weigh at least 75 pounds, and not more than 250 pounds. The participant must sign the Participant/Guardian Waiver Form prior to participation. For youth under the age of 18 a parent or legal guardian must sign Participant/Guardian Waiver Form. You must be in moderate to good health. You must be able to physically walk one mile. You must have the strength to pull yourself along the cable and slow yourself using a gloved hand to create friction on the cable.

You cannot participate in the canopy tour if you:      

Are pregnant or think you may be pregnant. Have recent, reoccurring or existing injuries. Are under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs or legal drugs that impair you in any way. Suffer from a heart or cardiac condition that may require immediate medial attention. Have hemophilia or take a blood thinning medication we STRONGLY recommend you NOT participate in the canopy tour. Have any of the following medical conditions please consult your physician prior to participation and discuss any concerns you have with your guide: o Asthma o Severe allergic reactions o Diabetes o Insulin dependent o Epilepsy

Attire and Preparation       



All guests must be of good health and free from the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medications which may impair their normal physical or mental abilities. All guests must wear sturdy, close toe shoes that cannot fall off. Please wear comfortable clothing that will protect your torso from rubbing caused by the seat and chest harness. No revealing clothing dresses or skirts please. Please remove loose or dangling jewelry or body piercings. Please tie back and secure long hair. Please remove all valuables including rings, necklaces, bracelets and personal electronics. Any participant who begins the tour but does not finish will not receive a full or partial refund. Cameras are welcome on the tour but you are responsible for securing your camera. Disposable cameras are not recommended as they cannot be securely fastened.

We reserve the right to deny participation for any reason. We cannot be responsible for any valuables that are dropped from the tour or any valuables left in your vehicle.
