Discussion: • Read Joshua 15.1-5 and 2 Tim. 3.16-17. How do you put these two passages together?? • Read Gen. 12.5-8; Deut. 1.5-8; Josh. 1.1-4; 19.51. By some estimates, it was nearly 700 years from the first promise to Abraham concerning the land to it's fulfillment. What does this teach you about the faithfulness of God? about Israel's faithfulness? about yours? • Read Joshua 17.14-18. What underlies Joseph's complaint? How are we vulnerable to that? • Read Joshua 18.1-3 and 13.13; 15.63; 16.10; 17.12-13. What factors kept them from being wholly obedient? What factors put us in the place of partial or delayed obedience? • Read Joshua 6.6-15. How does Caleb's example encourage you?
