REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) FOR Smartboard SBX885 To:

All Interested Vendors

You are invited to submit a formal proposal (bid) for SmartBoard Interactive Whiteboards with Epson projectors for the Sims Academy in accordance with the attached General Conditions and Specifications. Sealed proposals from bidders will be received by Barrow County Schools, 179 W. Athens St., Winder, Georgia 30680 until 3:30 P.M. local time, on Wednesday, May 14th, at which time and place all proposals received will be opened and read aloud. All bidders are invited to be present. Your presence is not required for consideration of award. Proposals may be emailed or mailed or delivered to the attention of John St.Clair at the above address. Faxed proposals are not acceptable. Emailed proposals are acceptable to [email protected], but must include a valid return email address. Emailed proposals will only be considered accepted for consideration upon delivery of an email from [email protected] to designated sender’s email indicating receipt. If vendor does not receive confirmation of receipt via email, vendor should consider proposal not to have been delivered. It is the vendor’s responsibility to ensure emailed proposals have been received. Barrow County reserves right to postpone bid opening to later the same day beyond original due date/time in event of delay of mail services. Once time has been called and the first proposal has been opened, any proposals received thereafter will be returned unopened. Proposals may not be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days after the date of receipt of bid. Barrow County Schools reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any informality in bidding. GENERAL CONDITIONS

The Barrow County School System seeks competitive bids for Smart Board Interactive White Boards with Epson projectors. Responses must include smart board, projector, all required cabling, and installation services. Environmental conditions: Each room receiving a smart board has a 2-gang gangbox at the teacher location with a 2 inch conduit stubbed up above hanging ceiling. There is a 2-gang gangbox at the board location on the wall with a 2 inch conduit stubbed up above hanging ceiling, located so as to be behind the center of the board once mounted. Board will need to be mounted offset from wall so that cabling can be run behind board into gangbox. Vendor is responsible for brackets or other methodology to securely mount board offset from wall. USB: All cable lengths are specified at 35’. For USB cables, vendor may elect to use USB extender, or USB-Cat5 converters on each end of the USB run with Cat5 cable. Vendor must guarantee that method used for USB extension will be problem-free for at least one year. Warranty: Vendor must specify warranty on hardware and installation, and explain service request procedures for in-warranty work.

The Barrow County School System may accept any bid offered on an all, some, or none basis, within funds available, whichever is in the best interest of the school system.
