REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) FOR Projector & Sound System, Statham Elementary Auditorium To:

Barrow County Schools is seeking pricing to provide and install a projector, projector screen, and sound system at Statham Elementary School. Sealed proposals from bidders will be received by Barrow County Schools, 179 W. Athens St., Winder, Georgia 30680 until 2 PM Friday, February 14th, at which time and place all proposals received will be opened and read aloud. All bidders are invited to be present. Your presence is not required for consideration of award. Proposals may be mailed or delivered to the attention of John St.Clair at the above address. There will be a pre-bid conference at the school on Monday, January 27th, at 3:00 PM to inspect the installation site and answer questions. Faxed proposals are not acceptable. Barrow County reserves right to postpone bid opening to later the same day beyond original due date/time in event of delay of mail services. Once time has been called and the first proposal has been opened, any proposals received thereafter will be returned unopened. Proposals may not be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days after the date of receipt of bid. GENERAL CONDITIONS
The Barrow County School System seeks competitive bids for a projector, screen, and speaker system, including all required installation. SPECIFIC CRITERIA 1. Projector screen: Draper Rolleramic 16:10 Format, 234” diagonal, matte-white, motorized screen (Draper model # 115388). Projector screen shall be ceiling mounted. Lift will be provided by district to provide access to ceiling. Vendor shall describe features of screen that will prevent screen “curl” on the edges when screen is deployed. Vendor shall provide power requirements for screen (electrical characteristics and location requirements). 2. Projector: The projector shall be a minimum of 5500 lumens and meet or exceed the following criteria (comparable quality and functionality projectors will be considered): Display Technology

Projector shall be ceiling mounted. Lift will be provided by district to provide access to ceiling. Vendor shall provide power requirements for projector (electrical characteristics and location requirements). 5. Connections from/to projector: The following input connections shall be extended from the projector to a wall box/enclosure: HDMI, RCA VIDEO, RCA AUDIO RIGHT, RCA AUDIO LEFT, VGA, SVIDEO. These connections shall be terminated in a wall box with a faceplate or surface mounted enclosure with externally accessible connectors. Cabling must be hidden inside walls or encased in wire-molding or equivalent. Appearance is a concern. NO LOOSE CABLES WILL BE ACCEPTED. (Note: Network cable to projector shall be run separate from this RFP). Location of wall box/enclosure to be coordinated with owner prior to installation. 6. Audio system: Amplifier: - An Ashly PEMA 4250 or comparable model with the same specifications or better Speakers: - Speaker system suitable for auditorium environment, capable of 120 dB or better per speaker Microphones: 3 wired microphones with 20’ or greater cables, 1 wireless microphone Enclosure: Rack or other enclosure to house/protect amplifier and other audio components Vendor shall provide power requirements for audio system (electrical characteristics and location requirements).
MISCELLANEOUS CONDITIONS
The Barrow County School System may accept any bid offered on an all, some, or none basis, within funds available, whichever is in the best interest of the school system.
