Revenue Officer (RO) Navitas UK Holdings Ltd - Oxford Salary: £21,444 – £22,517 per annum Permanent - Full Time Navitas is a diversified global education provider that offers an extensive range of educational services for students and professionals including university programs, language training, workforce education and student recruitment.

The Revenue Officer will be expected to add value to a high energy environment with extremely motivated people and take particular responsibility for ensuring that appropriate financial policies and procedures are emplaced and that compliance requirements are fulfilled. As well as being a highly motivated, team-orientated person, capable of adding value to the Shared Service networks finance function, the Revenue Officer will need to be a high energy, self-starter who is able to use their initiative and be an active and productive member of a cross functional team. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:              



Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of professional accounting principles and practices Experience with corporate financial, accounting and administrative information system Fluency in European languages (at least one European language required) Analytical skills Ability to work effectively with, and within, a team Capacity to understand and implement internal controls and process improvement Demonstrated computer literacy Effective interpersonal skills with a variety of cultural and ethnic stakeholder groups Computer literacy skills inclusive of demonstrated competence with the Microsoft Office suite Experience in the use of accounting specific software (Oracle, SAP, Sage, etc.) Proactive work habits The ability to work on own initiative, prioritise work, handle pressure of meeting monthly deadlines The ability to monitor and maintain management information systems and procedures The ability to communicate effectively in person, in writing and over the telephone with individuals and with a wide variety of organisations and audiences Knowledge and understanding of the principles of Equal Opportunity Employment and Occupational Safety and Health principles and practices

Navitas Europe Shared Service Finance Team (Navitas/SAE Europe)

Reports to: Europe Shared Service Centre Revenue and AR Manager

1. Overview and Objectives of the Position: Navitas Limited is an Australian owned public listed company. Navitas is an industry leader in providing managed campus services, pre-university and university pathway programmes for domestic (Australia only) and international students, as well as High School Year 10-12, English for leisure; migrant English and academic preparatory programmes, Foundation, Degree, Pre-Masters and Masters programmes in a wide range of disciplines. The UK Colleges offer a range of Degree Programme Elements from undergraduate Level 0 (Foundation) to Level 1, 1st Year university studies and postgraduate Masters Preliminary programmes in a wide range of degree pathways. The Colleges are all based on the campus of their Partner University and as such are Associate or Affiliate Colleges of their Partner University. Currently there are ten (10) Navitas Colleges in the United Kingdom and 24 SAE colleges across Europe (4 in the UK). The Shared Service team is being developed to service all these colleges with expert financial support delivered from Oxford. The Accounts Payable Manager will head up the growing AP team based in Oxford but incorporating European ledgers. Fluency in some European languages is therefore key. 3. Key Result Areas:

General and Strategic 

It is expected that the Revenue Officer will become proficient in the processing of student finances in accord with the best practice benchmarks used by Navitas/SAE Europe to measure effectiveness; becoming a vital part of the Finance service provision to colleges, students and other key stakeholder groups. The Revenue Officer will be part of a team providing revenue services to colleges and students.

Financial Transaction Entry, Review and Processing 

Receipting of Student Fees inclusive of   



Online Banking – checking bank accounts daily to see payments made directly into bank account in order to allocate to students Online Payments Upload into Oracle and reconciliation of bank statement revenue

Ad hoc Student Invoicing  

Non/late payment of Fees Resit exam charges

   

Student Debt  



Other invoicing as requested Review of agreements – As per NVT Policy Dealing with any student/college queries over payments etc

Reporting to college on student debt for payments Preparation of returning student fee lists and late payment fine recommendations

Student invoicing  Preparation of Invoices/receipts prepared for students as requested



Navinsure  Review of status change reports and preparation of amendments for Endsleigh as required



Quality and Compliance  Assist in the development and maintenance of finance policy and controls  Provide excellent internal and external customer service to colleagues, staff from Navitas business units, students and other customers at all times  Participate in development/improvement projects as required  Maintain procedural documentation covering all tasks, particularly with respect to Maze and Oracle

Team Engagement  

Provide back up and cover for other Revenue staff Attend and participate in professional development & training as required

Quality and Compliance    

Assist in the development and maintenance of finance policy and controls Provide excellent internal and external customer service to colleagues, staff from Navitas business units, students and other customers at all times Participate in development/improvement projects as required Maintain procedural documentation covering all tasks

Training and Development 

Identify and implement agreed plans for own training and development needs

Other Duties and Responsibilities   

Participate in induction and orientation activities as required Any other duties or tasks as directed by the Line Manager Undertake such other duties and tasks as may lie within the scope of this post to ensure the effective delivery and development of financial service to the European network

Qualifications and Selection Criteria

The Revenue Officer will possess:               
