On our website, under DOCS, FORMS, LINKS, there are many helpful tools at your disposal. All of the known forms needed for all neighborhood business and activities are listed on the site, and the list keeps growing. As a new need is realized, the site gets updated with additional links in an effort to give you one place to find everything you need to make the most out of our community. You will find everything from information regarding mosquitoes and violation summaries, to downloadable forms for vacation watches and ACC applications. One of the tools that you’ll find is very helpful, but not very pleasant. It is a link to the sex offender section of the TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY web site (https://records.txdps.state.tx.us/ soSearch/default.cfm). This site contains a mapping tool that allows you to input your address and assess your surroundings and proximity to known offenders. Although it is a difficult subject to address, this link helps enhance the safety of our community through knowledge. Use the site. Be knowledgeable and be safe.

Riata Ranch Postma Cub Scout Pack 834- Den 3 Happy New Year! We hope you and yours had a joyous and safe Holiday season. Our Cub Scout dens were very busy, this Holiday season. The Tiger den collected bags of food and donated it to the Cy-Fair Volunteer Fire Dept. - Station 11, who took it to the Bear Creek Ministries. The Cy-Fair Volunteer Fire Dept. (www.cyfairvfd. com) was also gracious enough to give the Den a tour and tips on fire safety, during a December Go and See It. During the month of December, the cub scouts also participated in a push-mobile race. Fun was had by all! The Tigers won a trophy for best “Theme” push-mobile, our first time out! All the Cubs took part in the building and painting of the push mobile, under the guidance of the adult partners. During one of Den 3’s December meetings, Santa and Mrs. Claus stopped by to wish each scout and their family a Happy Holiday Season! During the first half of 2009, we have a fun schedule. We plan to participate in several events, which includes, sporting events, visiting a radio station, participate in a pinewood derby, and also participate in the annual Blue and Gold Banquet. The Cub Scouts are having ball learning and growing. We meet twice a month, to Search, Discover and Share! We also welcome any boy, 1st grade through 5th grade, to come join and have fun learning

with us. We are Pack 834, chartered by Postma Elementary School. We are a part of the Copperhead District (copperheaddistrict.org), which is also a part of the Sam Houston Area Council (www.shac. org), of the Boy Scouts of America (www.scouting.org). If you are interested in joining Postma Pack #834, you may contact either Charles Torres 281-660-7899 or Stacey Torres 281-224-7633, for dates and times of meetings. (More Pics on page 7)

Recently, we have received reports of teens throwing items into the storm drains, such as boxes and basketballs. These items can plug the drain and cause flooding when the next storm comes. If you see this activity, please report it to the Sheriff’s Department with the best description of the activity that you can give. Stopping this activity is important to all of us. It could even keep your home from flooding.
