Software support, maintenance and upgrades for Chaves County’s Jail Management System
Description:
The Chaves County Detention Center utilizes a Jail Management System (JMS) that runs on software developed and implemented by The Abbey Group. In 2009 the Abbey Group became unable to offer services regarding the system due to the loss of the system’s programmer that developed the software. The programmer then started his own company, Beacon Software Solutions, which submitted a proposal to the County for support and maintenance on the software. Other than Beacon, Chaves County is unaware of any other vendor who is able to provide support, maintenance and upgrades for the current JMS.

Justification:
Chaves County is not aware of any other vendor which can offer support, maintenance and upgrades for the current Jail Management Software System.
