ROMANCE IN IGUASSU Explore the jungle’s natural wonders and the breathtaking waterfalls by day before allowing Iguassu’s distant roar to lull you to sleep by night.

DAY 1/ ARRIVAL Arrive at Belmond Hotel das Cataratas and enjoy an indulgent lunch. Visit the Bird Park to experience the exotic sights and sounds of the rainforest before heading off on a 10-minute helicopter ride over the falls or a 35-minute trip to the Three Borders Landmark (Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay). In the evening, take a walking tour to the edge of the falls and the Devil’s Throat for spectacular views.

DAY 2/ MACUCO SAFARI Embark on an exciting Macuco Safari. Begin with a ride through the rainforest in open electric vehicles, followed by a high-speed inflatable boat over the rapids to either the Three Musketeers or the Three Marias Falls. In the evening, visit the spa and laze by the pool, climb the hotel’s tower to view the sunset or play a game of tennis. Afterwards, enjoy a romantic dinner on the restaurant terrace or lawn.

DAY 3/ ARGENTINIAN SIDE OF THE FALLS A day’s visit to the Argentinian side of the falls offers a thrillingly different perspective. Get even closer, via catwalks, to the impressive Devil’s Throat and glimpse ring-tailed coati, parrots, toucans and butterflies. Round off a perfect day with a “gaucho” style barbecue at the hotel.

DAY 4/ POCO PRETO Explore the mysterious rainforest on a walking tour with the hotel’s eco guide before continuing your adventure with the Poço Preto (Black Well) Trail. A 9km jeep journey leads through the forest to a treehouse with a bird’s-eye view of the Lake of the Caimans. Next, board a motorboat and head off along the river for more amazing wildlife spotting before returning to the hotel. Following the walking tour and Poço Preto Trail, enjoy a Canopy Tour—a “flight” through the treetops on a series of suspension bridges and zip lines.

DAY 5/ TRILHA DAS BANANEIRAS Set off on the Trilha das Bananeiras—the Banana Trail—a delightful 2km nature walk along the banks of the Iguassu River. A kayak trip can also be included for a thrilling end to your stay. Depart for the airport.
