On his head rests a halo of sweat-damp stray hairs An orange blur between greedy, fighting hands breezes by And he’s dancing in a flood of powdery light, tumbling down to a blur of lines on wood It’s the current existing, humming, buzzing, in the air, pushing him forth And his body is his body is his body Power radiating, burning out from every joint and tendon His muscles are whining, aching, and adding to the intensity, the ferocious determination Amongst a million feet swerving and skipping through the opposition like best friends And he’s tired but he keeps on running, passing, throwing Running, passing, throwing There’s rubber darting through the heavens, skirting ropes, hitting the ground harder than a god’s stomp And bouncing and shooting and passing through teams untouched, alive, inspired
