VOYAGERS Adult Forum: Apr. 28

“Listening to Jesus as a Jew” will be the April 28 VOYAGERS Adult Forum, led by Russ Melby. The class will read a 4-page Q&A article featuring Professor Amy-Jill Levine. Dr. Levine teaches New Testament and Jewish Studies at Vanderbilt. She is a member of an Orthodox synagogue and author of The Misunderstood Jew: The church and the scandal of the Jewish Jesus. Copies of her March 27, 2019 Christian Century article on “Listening to Jesus as a Jew” will be available at the VOYAGERS Adult Forum.

Bread for the World

The April meeting of Bread for the World will be held Monday, the 15th, at 4:30 pm, in #210. We’ll continue developing our outreach to Congress for 2019, themed: “Better Nutrition, Better Tomorrow.” Join us as we urge Congress to protect and increase funding for global nutrition. Nutrition for people experiencing hunger is a bipartisan issue that will draw support from people across the country and on both sides of the aisle. Offering letters and other contacts to lawmakers on this issue can unite Americans around a common cause for which millions stand to gain.
